Relay switches (also called an electrical relay or an electrical relay switch) use a small amount of power to control a larger source of power connected to electrical devices such as car motors, computers, and lighting installations. A basic relay switch has a control circuit with an electromagnetic coil and a load circuit with contacts and a lever. When current flows into the relay switch, it moves through the coil and a magnetic field is created, which causes the lever in the load circuit to move between contacts, either turning the device on or off. In a normally open (NO) relay switch, when power is supplied to the relay, the load circuit is closed and the power source connected to the relay is turned on. In a normally closed (NC) relay switch, when power is supplied to the relay, the load circuit is open and the power source connected to the relay is turned off. In other types of relay switches, non-moving parts such as transistors or semiconductors can be used as the control circuit to operate the switching mechanism. Relay switches can be controlled with an external switch, such as a light switch, or they can be connected to an automatically switched power source, such as a car ignition. One relay can operate multiple switches, and multiple relays can be operated with a single switch, with each relay operating independently from the other relays in the system.

Supco manufactures test instruments and replacement parts for heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems. The company, founded in 1945, is headquartered in Allenwood, NJ.

It worked very well. I just had to use a slightly thicker drill bit and tap it in a bit to get it in, drilling a shortcut for the wire to reach. but in the end it worked out very well.

Although the wire is good gauge the quick connection is not.

The wires are 2 feet, not 3 feet long. The plastic caps are extremely hard and not malleable. My terminals had the spade attachment which I had to ground down. The plastic cap, could not be pushed in. I had to drill the cap with a 1/16th drill bit to make some space and expose the wire. I should have drilled a little bit more but I wanted to ensure a snug fit. I took a small piece of wood flush along side the plug and gently tapped the wood for a snug fit. As I was doing this, my compressor started to leak r22 from the plug terminal. Slow leak. Machine is running but on borrowed timeMoral of the story, I should have bought quick lug brand terminal set instead

Reading the reviews I was skeptical. Some were saying they had to drill a larger hole. I put them over the plugs it appeared too tight and gently tapped and they went right on tight like they should. This old 10 seer hasn't worked for twenty years. With this wire, capacitor, kick start and new contactor she fired right up and blows cold! Likely more electric cost than the window AC using now but needed central air in place for insurance inspection.

The way that this product is supposed to work is that you just push the plastic terminal with the 10 gauge wire into the pin of the compressor. The issue i was having was that the three pins of the compressor did not fit three plastic terminal holes each with the 10 gauge wire. The wire was just too thick and filled up the entire hole space. I ended up using a drill bit and drilling one side of the hole about a 8th of an inch to create enough space for the compressor pin to snuggly fit inside the plastic caps with the wire.

My compressor terminals were in incredibly bad shape due to corrosion. There was no way the terminals could be of use on my 22 year old unit. These easy connect terminals have been working for about 2 months now. I took away a ⭐️ because I had to modify the product slightly with a small drill bit to get them to fit. Looking to upgrade my AC next year, thankful this product is getting me through the Summer season🌅

The easy connect doesn't work with the most common style compressor terminals. I had to remove the easy connects and install new spade connectors. Despite being labeled as the same gauge as the wire I was replacing, the wiring fried after only two weeks in the unit. A complete waste of money.
