Overall, the product works exactly as described. The suction force is strong, and the holder stays securely on the wall. However, I noticed after installation that the back edge is uneven or slightly damaged. Thankfully, it doesn’t affect the functionality.

Looks great and doesn't feel cheap. The suction cup works perfectly on my tile shower. It's nice they include an adhesive pad for use on rougher surfaces but that it's not needed for flat surfaces like tile. Definitely better than a lot of the knock off brand alternatives.

If it fits your color scheme or you simply don't mind the color, this unit is a worthwhile purchase.It's notably less expensive than the chrome version and as an added benefit, you won't see rust at the welds later on like you will with the chrome one.Adhesion on glazed porcelain is superb. Smart basket design allows it to flip up for cleaning underneath.

Recently purchased a second one of this soap dish as the first one has been on the vinyl wall of our shower/tub for nearly a year and not a slip or issue. The suction is what I used and I've been so pleased that there hasn't been an issue.Looks good too :)

This is a great soapdish. Unlike many people who reviewed it, I assume, I have a perfectly smooth shower wall. (It is made of man-made marble.) I cleaned it with cleanser and then water and then alcohol and then water again. Then I installed the dish. It is already sticky when you first take it out of its plastic wrapper, so I took advantage of this and made sure NOT to touch the suction disc with my hand. EVER! I followed all the instructions, and voila! The thing is stuck firmly on the shower wall, as far as I can tell, forever unless I remove it for some reason. It has been on my wall for 5 months now, and shows no signs of moving, no matter what. All the other reviewers who talked about it having a problem sticking were installing it wrong I think. It is the best soapdish I think I have ever owned.
