My original heating element that came with my Whirlpool oven lasted about 20 years, this replacement failed after 1.5 years. There is no point to save money and buy this if you have to replace it every 2 years. It worked well at first and was easy to replace but a failure shortly after the warranty runs out is unacceptable and I do not recommend this aftermarket heating element to any potential buyers. This lower oven element warped from it original shape and I would think that caused the failure. I tested the ends with a Ohm meter and found there was no continuity (the inner wire was broken). Additionally there is a crack in the outer coating shown in the 2nd picture after just normal usage (typical 350°-450° temps). I reached out directly to the mfg and they said I was out of warranty so I had no options but to buy another one. Lesson learned, you pay for what you get and will purchase a slightly more expensive OEM replacement part made by Whirlpool.

My unit went out 2 weeks before Christmas! I ordered this for my whirlpool oven it fit perfect ! So easy to install I installed it myself and it took less than 20 minutes. That was removing the old part and installing the new one. Works great!

Easy to install, just remove 2 screws holding the plate on the back wall of Oven, pull wires toward you and secure wires with a clothespin or large clip so they do not pull back into the wall........remove clips holding original element and replace with the New Element. Return plate to the back wall, replace screws, and it's done. Took all of about 5 minutes. My Testing: After install, I ran it on 350 for about 30 minutes, and found it was a bit slow starting at first, but held temp. Then turned it off, let it cool and set it on 425 for another 20 minutes, no burning odors and it got to temp very quickly.I use my oven nearly every day and have had no issues with this new element since install about 3 weeks ago.
