This product kept our shade alive all day in the heat in our bait tank. It also keeps the foam off the top.

Used for alewives and helped out tremendously. This is second best bait tank additive on market for keeping shad alive. Shad Crack from Striper soup is the ultimate.

This stuff is amazing. Keeps shady extremely frisky and alive all day long. Price is a little high for the amount needed for your bait well and I've found much cheaper alternatives. Other than that it's good stuff.

This stuff absolutely works! I live in TX, so the hot water affects the bait. I normally add ice and change out the water in my livewell every so often (still sometimes have a few shad die). With this stuff, I put in ice *once at the beginning of a fishing trip, and didn't even have a single shad die on me! Also, the tilapia and perch stayed alive on my hook, whereas normally they die after 10 minutes or so of fishing with them. Furthermore, you are not supposed to put your baitfish directly into your livewell after netting them - you put them in a separate bucket so they can poop in there first (poop gives a pH imbalance in the water). Ignoring that step, I threw the shad, tilapia and perch directly into my 5 gallon livewell with a handful of ice and 2 tbsp on the Shad-Keeper, and was good to go for 5 hours before I threw the surviving, unused bait back. +++
