When I bought it, it worked even I had a impression of cheap product. It stopped working about 3 years using. I never had any PC power adapeter threw away because of not functioning. This is really cheap copy product. Not worth at all to buy.

Worked really well with my surface pro 6 for 4 months, but then the wire started fraying as seen in the pic. Guess I'll have to get a new one

We have two Surface Pros, and had been relying on one charging cord for a while after the first one died. One day with a new kitten in the house, and the second one acquired a hole and was dead as well.. I ordered this one because it could get here the fastest at a reasonable price. And it did the trick to charge both Surfaces, but after a few days my husband and I both separately noticed that the touch pad on the Surface keyboard was acting funny - only picking up our finger swipes half the time (which is quickly frustrating). I thought it was the older keyboard going bad, but then realized both were doing the same thing. I unplugged the charging cord, and magically the touchpad works perfectly... On both Surfaces.Not sure why the cord plugged into the Surface would affect the touchpad on the keyboard, but it definitely does. I'll be ordering another brand now to see if we can get one that lets us use the touchpad properly while plugged in, and hopefully let this one be the new backup.

My Surface Book base stopped charging. It was deemed dead by me and the local IT shop due to pin wear. I bought a new OEM charger at a big box for $90 and it did nothing. I had already ordered this one, so when it came I tried it anyway. It worked!! So my original Microsoft charger stopped working in the base (still charges the tablet separate), the replacement Microsoft did not work, but this Chinese Cheapo works great! Probably due to worse manufacturing tolerances now that my port is thrashed! If you have a non-charging base, give this baby a try! I'm sure the base is on borrowed time, but aren't we all!
