The suspenders themselves are great. They look nice and do their job. They do not come with clips but rather are the style that are attached to leather strips that are buttoned to the inner waste of trousers. The ad states they have "leather y-Back button ends." I have no idea what they are talking about. There is no leather here. The suspenders come with three strips (2 for the front and one for the back) that are leather-ish, made from either vinyl or some other faux-leather material and buttons to sew into one pair of trousers, however, they look like leather and are fine. Leather strips for suspenders having clips are inexpensive anyway -- no sewing is required. Buttons that clip into trousers for suspender strips like these are also inexpensive. Do yourself a favor and buy a set of strips with clips or clip-in buttons to use with these suspenders, and then you can wear these suspenders with any trousers you want.

The most important thing to know about these suspenders is that they are secured by sewing buttons into whatever bottoms you intend to use these with. The suspenders come with 6 buttons, and that is exactly enough to use the suspenders on a single pair of pants/shorts. Any and all other buttons needed to secure other pants/shorts you may have that don't fit right you will have to purchase aside from these suspenders. You will also need sewing needles and thread to secure all buttons because none come with these suspenders. If you take the time and effort to attach the necessary buttons, these suspenders are functional. There is also no way for these to lose grip, since they are not fastened in a way that relies on grip. However, I would not say that the effort necessary to use these is worth it. It could take anywhere from several hours to dozens of hours to secure the necessary buttons in the appropriate places depending on the number of pairs of pants or shorts you would like to have them hold in place.

handsome set of suspenders! admittedly of limited use as I only have a single pair of pants with the requisite buttons already.

Good for Carhart double thick logging pants, good work suspenders! These seem to have a nice quality elastic, just what I wanted.

Super bummed out with these suspenders. My bad for not looking closer but the connection to the pants is apparently you sewing buttons on all your pants . It came with some to get started but this is not convenient. I can sew them on but then if I ever want to go with a belt the buttons will be right in the path of the belt . I am not super excited about this setup. The suspenders themselves are alright, stretchy and adjustable. Unlikely to get much use

Needed a good pair of suspenders to complete my Frodo Baggins cosplay. These fit the bill excellently! They are slightly discolored, so it would be an issue if when wearing them they were visible. But for my purposes, they are wonderful.
