Decent sustain pedal... Can be used with any keyboard since you can change polarity... Good price too.

It doesn't plug right in to the old Xbox 360 drum set. You need an adapter because the plug is too large but it works. I was a little worried it wouldn't be strong enough for all the slamming but so far so good. One day I may finally break down and get a new Rock Band set for the newer console but, as long as the old equipment works, it's cheaper to just replace small broken bits than the whole set.I will note it does take a bit of getting used to when switching to this pedal. It doesn't fit on the drum set like the old pedal does. You have to have it out and to the side a bit. Also, it does work just fine on my keyboard. I figured if I was going to get a sustain pedal for a strange reason, I should also check to make sure it does what it's advertised to do as well. It's surprisingly strong. Good quality for the price. I honestly expected it to break quickly but it's holding up to the abuse.

This came well packaged but no instructions. I plugged it into my keyboard but Initially didn’t know why it had the opposite effect - the notes I played were sustained without pressing the pedal, then pressing the pedal stopped the sustain. I figured out that there was a polarity switch on the side of the pedal - which was set at “N.O”. When I slid the switch over to “N.C.” there was no sustain without the pedal - then when I stepped on the pedal while playing - it did sustain the notes (which is what I wanted). So, piano players need to make sure the switch is set at “N.C.” The cord is thinner than other pedals that I have used but good length. This pedal does work and is a good value selling for $12.99. They should include instructions about the Polarity Switch - not everyone knows what that is.

This is a very nice sustain pedal for use with your electronic keyboard. Perhaps not "top of the line" but for $13 it is a real bargain! It has the look and feel of a real piano pedal and works flawlessly with no latency. Its total size is a bit smaller than my M-Gear SP-2 (see photo) but the actual pedal size is about the same. It is also a bit lighter which, along with its smaller size, makes it the perfect choice for my road case. The lighter weight however makes it more likely to gradually slip while playing. And this one uses only 4 small feet to try to prevent that. On more expensive items, the entire bottom is a soft rubber-like mat. But honestly, they don't totally prevent slippage either. I've seen all kinds of attempts to solve the problem, including silicone oven mitts. I use a stick held in place by the legs of the keyboard stand to stop the pedal from sliding back.I like the fact that it uses a right-angle plug which tucks the cable in, or directs it down, for a neater appearance. The cable length is 5 feet which is plenty to reach the floor and position the pedal where you want it, but not too much to get all tangled up. The wire however is not a soft, flexible, type. It kinks and will not lay flat. Perhaps it will improve with age.It has an easy-to-set polarity switch on the side which can be set to Normally Open or Normally Closed. This allows it to be used with any keyboard brand. My Yamaha has a "smart" sustain connection. Whatever state the pedal is in when I power it up, that's the up (damped) position. So, it will work with either a NO or NC pedal.I also like that there is no obnoxious logo visible (like my M-Gear). But there is an indention where one could be placed. Makes me think this is an "OEM" product that probably gets labeled under different brands. At any rate, it is a good pedal at a great price.

We have a full sized piano....a pro quality electronic keyboard and now a decent under 20 pound, more portable keyboard and the new portable came with a sustain pedal that was all plastic and either on or off with no "touch" sensitivity control like our other pianos. This pedal was simply plug and play and provides high quality materials, touch sensitivity, a standard 1/4" mono plug and it will sense the polarity of your own instrument...mine was opposite the wiring of the keyboard ...the simple fix was to turn the keyboard off...then on again to have the pedal switch polarity. Very nice product and a very attractive price

Sustain pedals are a necessity but surprisingly don't always come with a keyboard. This works well and looks nice too, like a real piano pedal. So far it has worked correctly and held up well, and it seems well made overall. Should last a long time. I'd recommend it!
