Sounds great ! The instrument is small so it’s nice to travel, but it’s a bit heavy. The case is very nice to protect the instrument ! I’m not sure how to wash it since there is a lot of saliva when you blow into it for a long time.

Because of the airflow needed to make the bass notes sound, you'll need to be someone who can learn to supply the air to get the notes sounding on time. It's more difficult to learn than the other model which Suzuki makes. Good quality sound just takes a lot of air.

I love this thing! It has a nice accordion/harmonica sound and is easy to play once you get the hang of it. I've even played this and piano at the same time and it makes a nice variation of sound to songs. It makes for nice 'pirate' music.

When I got this melodian i wasn't expecting this quality it came with. It sounds great. I wasn't expecting the case to be that nice either, it's a durable hard plastic and I'm sure it'll hold up to some drops if it happened. It always came with one short mouth piece and a long one which fits well depending on what playing style I'm doing. It shipped out to me in about a week and a half which was very good.

I bought this to just play around with and it is good for that. I keep it in the kitchen to play when I have a few minutes. I didn't know about the cool case that it comes in so that was a bonus. Not sure the sound quality is all that, but I am quite happy with it at this price.Delivery was timely as always with Amazon.

This is a wonderful instrument. It has a great deep "bumble bee" rumble to it. It is a much more challanging instrument to play than other melodicas as it requires a great deal more air and lung power to play. Even so, really glad I got it and am making use of it in the melodica group I belong to.

All lower pitched free reeds are just too slow on the attack and release to play very well on any mouth blown instrument. But this is probably as good as can be possible. So I'd give it five stars for the attempt at solving an impossible problem, with two stars for useablilty.

I have to admit its my first melodion, and I am fairly new to playing keyboards too. I read a lot of reviews and felt like this was the best "bang for the buck" melodion/melodica that I found online. It has a good sound, a bit louder than I figured it would be. It seems to be in good tune too. Suzuki seems to have a really name for instruments, especially the melodion.I really like the fact that it came with the longer tube - I can set it on a table or my lap to play. It also comes with a case and a short tube so you can hold it up in front of you to play. A person who is more advanced than I may get to the point that they want more keys ( this one only has 32) but I think it will be fine for my needs for quite a while. I also considered one of the Yamaha models but went with this one based on good reviews and price.

I'm a professional musician, and did my research before buying this item. Especially considering the low price, this is a great instrument. Intonation, dynamic control and timbre met all of my expectations. I like it so much, I bought a second one as a gift.

WARNING: This listing has as completely different Suzuki Melodions as options. My review is for the B-24 bass Melodion, not for the MX-32C.UPDATE: I have reduced my rating to three stars because of a serious leakage problem with the B-24. There was slight leakage at first, but it got much worse. I left the B-24 at my vacation home and just recently took it apart and tried to address the problem, without success. Until then I had been thinking I just needed to get around to tightening screws and making sure there was no problem with gaskets.--------------I recently purchased a Hammond 44, after considering the $400 . The Hammond 44 (made by Suzuki) is terrific. Recently I saw the Suzuki B-24 at its current 8th Street Music price of $169.99 and couldn't resist when I saw that 8th Street was offering a 17.76% Independence Day discount. I couldn't be happier with this purchase. This is a high quality musical instrument with a distinctive rich sound. It's very solid and durable. It's a bit harder to blow than an alto melodica, but it gets rich, deep sounds. The Hammond BB-24 has an output jack, which the Suzuki B-24 does not, but the B-24 has a larger sound box and is capable of putting out a big sound. Actually, the dynamic range is quite impressive. It's just over 12" in length, 15" with the mouthpiece. I don't care much for the mouthpiece, but these things are interchangeable, and (update) it's quite nice to play without a mouthpiece. There is no tube, but playing without looking is much easier on a 24 note keyboard. I highly recommend this instrument, at $169.99 or, even better, at a discount. Just make sure you understand that this is a bass melodica. Search Hammond BB-44 on YouTube to hear what a bass melodica sounds like. In playing, I found that at the low end I have to work on getting good sound; otherwise low end notes sound out of tune. Actually, I think some complaints about melodicas being out of tune are a result of how they are being played.UPDATE on Cleaning Your Melodica. Some people disassemble their melodica occasionally, remove any debris, and wipe it down. I have added an image of my Suzuki B-24 disassembled. Be sure to use proper screw drivers. I recommend the No. 1X50mm and No. 00X50mm for this melodica. Remove end screws and side screws, slide ends off and then slide main body out of tray. Be careful of felt strip, especially when reassembling. Loosen all screws on main body bottom plate, and then remove plate. Work on a surface (a towel perhaps) where screws and washers that are removed or fall off are not lost. You can see in the photo that the washers are oblong and would be hard to replace. Now, all I found in my B-24 was moisture and discoloration. I wiped the reeds and compartment and the inside of the bottom plate with a very soft 80% polyester, 20% polyamide cloth. In the photo you can see that the reed discoloration is mainly at the mouthpiece end, which seemed odd since I almost always hold my melodica vertically with that end at the top. But I guess it makes sense since you can see that's where most of the moisture has collected. I think it would be unwise to try to do anything about the discoloration unless there's a build up of some kind. Reassembly was a little slower. Of course you don't want to force anything. All things considered, disassembly and reassembly of a melodica is pretty easy. I usually play a bit on this melodica every day, sometimes for a half hour or more. It might go for years with no problem, but I think I'll wipe it out and check for debris or irregularities about once every six months unless there appears to be a reed malfunction.
