Your cart is empty. SWEN Products has been making weathervanes for 20+ years. We are a 2nd generation company that prides ourselves in making a quality product for a reasonable price. Each weathervane is laser cut out of steel, then welded by a team that has over 100+ years of combined experience. Each piece of the weathervane is powder coat painted with a antique copper vein paint for years of protection. The top of the weathervane pivots on a polished stainless steel pin. The wind cup anemometer has a sealed ball bearing that will spin with the slightest breeze.
Each weathervane is available in different mounts:
?Garden Stake consists of 2 poles that combine to make a pole made to add to your Garden
?Roof Mount is a V-Shaped plate along with a 15 inch pole that easily fits over the top of a A-Framed roof. Can be adjusted to any roof pitch
?Adjustable Mount consists of a 3 inch by 3 inch square plate that can pivot a full 90°. That flexibility allows this mount be used on deck railing, fence, or your roof fascia.
?Arrow top can be interchanged for the season. All arrow tops fit easily on any SWEN Products Weathervane. Great addition to your home to show your teams spirit during the season.

Because I mounted this weathervane to a metal roofed shed, I had to modify the mounting bracket by bending it to create flat mounting surfaces. I think the pin that the Moose sits on may need a slight sanding, sometimes it seems to stick when pointing to the West. Other than having to modify the mount, assembly could not be easier. Very happy with this item.

This beautiful weathervane was shipped direct to my son in a different state. So I personally haven't seen it. My son told me it is a well made weathervane and they loved it! They were so impressed with my thoughtful and expensive gift. haha I'm not going to reveal how inexpensive it was!

My husband purchased this for me as a gift three years ago. The moose spent a couple months in a garage under construction, and then my husband put it on the completed garage. He said it was a fairly straight-forward installation, but he had to make a few modifications since it is attached to the metal roof of a "pole barn." Since then the poor moose has withstood -30 degree winters, 70 mph wind, summers over 100 degrees, hail, and more...and it is absolutely perfect. It looks new and works smoothly (and really fast when it gets blowing). It is one of my favorite things and makes me smile every time I look at it. I recommend it very, very much.

I mounted this on my shop roof about 28 feet high. I read other ratings and knew that it needed a bit tweaking to make it more level before mounting. I did so, however, even after getting it level in the shop it wasn't the same after mounting it on the roof. I'm not a huge fan on working 28 feet high on a ladder, but I will have to go up and do some more tweaking. Plus the wind cups don't seem to work well. Looks good and will look better when it is straighten up and the cups spin.

This weather vane is excellent for the price range. I'm not sure for how many years it would last on top of a barn or house roof exposed to extreme wind and weather; however I purchased it for a shed roof for decoration and yes to see the wind direction. It is not as heavy as a weather vane I purchased for 4 times the cost, but it is much better than I expected. Also when I purchased this and reviewed it, the shipping weight was listed as 200 pounds which is ridiculous - at most maybe 20 pounds including packing would be the weight.The only caution I would make to anyone putting it up, is to make sure they use a level in order to get the vertical pole straight up and down. Somehow the mounting bracket wasn't even on both sides and there was a slight tilt to the whole thing which means it would not move correctly with the wind direction. It's something I should have known to check and might even have been the roof slope - but once it was repositioned my moose looks into the ever changing wind and looks very handsome too.

I purchased this weathervane for a "Moose" lover friend of mine and it was a big hit! It is durable, not overly heavy, nice size and very easy to put together and highly recommended.
