This carrot peeler is nicely designed. It has a bulky handle, which makes it easy to hold and handle when you are using it. The handle has a texture to it that makes it easy to grip. The peeling blade is curved down downward towards the vegetable, which makes it easier to peel carrots or potatoes. The blade itself is nice and sharp, slicing through the skin of a carrot like a hot knife through butter. It has a hole in the handle, which would make it easy to hang on a rack. This utensil is so nice to use. Highly recommended!

We picked up this peeler to replace our more "standard" shaped peeler and found that this design is really easy to use, especially for peeling round vegetables and fruits (e.g., apples). The quality of the peeler is comparable to other nice kitchen tools you'd find in a store. It's comfortable to use and overall works well!

I'd give this a 3.5 stars.. It's sharp, which is nice. It does glide easily over the potato and it peels it. BUT, it doesn't go very deep. and maybe that's MY shortcoming? Because I know Potatoes have a LOT of pesticides so I want to get off not only the skin but a layer beneath, and my old OXO peeler would take off more than just the skin. I felt better eating those potatoes.. for this one I feel like I need to peel a couple of times to not only get the skin but some more of the potato under it. It is comfortable to hold, it's got a nice bend in the handle to make it more ergonomic. So that's great. Over all the peeler is nice, I just wish it would peel a bit deeper.

I use a "Y" peeler generally and my wife uses a swivel-type. I found this peeler very comfortable to use and it's sharpness means there's very little waste. My wife's only criticism is that, due to the blade being hidden by the handle she can't see the path of the peeler blade. The padded handle is easy to grip, the blade seems to be high-quality steel and it easily peels even oddly shaped and bumpy potatoes and other root veggies. The price is fair and I would give it five stars. My wife would offer four stars so my review should be 4 1/2 stars!

There are few things that I hate more than peeling potatoes. I've had potato peelers in the distant past, but for the past few years I've just been using a small knife. What a tedious torturous task. After the first couple of potatoes, I'd start to get bored out of my mind and just start hacking. I'd end up losing half the potato with the peel. I don't know why I didn't get a peeler sooner, but I'm definitely glad I got this one. This peeler is so easy to use. It didn't take long to find the right potato grip and the right peeling technique. I can't believe how fast I can peel a potato now. Zip, zip, zip, and you've got a beautiful peeled potato. Needless to say, I'm giving this peeler a well deserved five stars.

The peeler is very well made and seems to be of quality materials. To me the design of the curved handle of the peeler is the natural way most people hold a peeler when peeling fruits or vegetables so I noticed my wrist/hand doesn't get as tired like it did with a straight handled peeler like we did have. And I say "did have" because after using this peeler to do potatoes I chucked the old one in the garbage. The stainless steel blade is very sharp and removes the peelings with ease and their is zero chance for any issues with rust or corrosion to the blade. It also comes with a protective cover for the blade when it's not in use. Overall I would definitely recommend the peeler to anyone who cooks and has to remove peelings from their fruits or veggies as this peeler will do the job and to me does it more comfortablely and works well.
