They are a bit slim fitting. I am 5'10". 165lbs or even a bit lighter and Men's Medium was kind of snug. My thighs might be a bit bigger than average for my height and weight. The material is a bit heavy, and not super stretchy, not like tights, so I don't think you want them to fit like tights, but rather want a bit of looseness. I would try large, but I'm afraid they will be too long. Otherwise, they seemed nice. For active Nordic skiing, they would be cold weather pants; up to 10 deg. F, maybe higher if windy. For ski touring at a slower pace, they might be good for warmer than 10F.
