This is nice combination of products to get you started. The paper included is okay .... it's your typical run of the mill off-brand paper but it's thoughtful that they included it. The masking tape is pretty good ... I didn't have any issues with it tearing the paper when removing it from my painting. The easel has 3 easily adjustable incline options for the work surface; whether you're painting, using it as a prop for a book or a tablet .... however you decide to use it.As others have pointed out, the easel is not finished so in order for it to be protected, you'll need to put some type of varnish on it and at the current price point, ($29.99) that's an issue for me. At the time of this writing, the product description states: “Expertly handcrafted from beech-wood and finished, this adjustable desktop easel offers durability and stability.” This is an untrue statement and should be revised to reflect that the easel is not finished. It's something you should know going into it especially since the description is incorrect.Unlike other reviewers, I cannot give this a 4- or 5-star rating while current product description is inaccurate. This is a well-made and high-quality tabletop easel for small paintings, especially watercolors. It's very lightweight, yet sturdy and folds up for easier storage. There are three different angle/height adjustments that allow this easel to be used on surfaces of multiple heights and easier painting and comfort. The easel is larger in person but well thought out. It's natural, un-stained wood and put together nicely. I like how it folds flat, it's landscape designed but could still hold portrait length. The easel came with a watercolor paper pad and painter's tape. The stand holds well, it's stiff so I can carry it around *gently* already set up. The ledge is wide enough to hold the entire pad or a single sheet. I think it would be too narrow to hold a small canvas unless it was the kind without the wooden frame. Overall design is simple but I really like it. I originally ordered to use as an ipad stand to match my "natural aesthetic", it holds an ipad air in landscape mode nicely as well. In portrait mode I can even fit my phone next to it.

This is a lovely easel that arrived super quickly. It came with a pad of watercolor paper and masking tape to help hold your paper to the easel.There are 3 settings of how vertical you can set the easel, but I'll probably mostly use the lowest one. Everything packs super compact and easily fits in a drawer when not in use. The leg that comes out and holds up the easel works great, but I think I might need to grease the joints on the arm that slots into the lower base, cause that's more stiff than it should be.The easel is unfinished wood and while it's smooth now, the texture makes me think of getting splinters, so I think I'll want to stain or at least seal it before actively integrating it into my daily art supplies.Overall I'm very satisfied with the quality of the product and how quickly it arrived, just wan to tweak a few things to my personal preferences.

This is a nice, small tabletop easel. It has several height/angle adjustments. It seems well built and sturdy. It's easy to use, but It's not big enough for large canvases. Only useful for anything 12×12 inches or smaller. Comes with a small tablet of watercolor paper and a small roll of masking tape to secure paper too.

I've used the easel and paper for multiple projects, already, and they're everything I hoped. There are 3 positions to choose from, which has been helpful for my acrylic painting because of glare. I've also found a 4th position which lays a couple of inches above neutral and I've used that for drawing.The masking tape is extra in the packet, as it's too thin to use on stretching watercolor paper, but I've found other uses for it.
