At first it didn’t work intermittently. Then it got more & more frequent.At first, you’d rotate the knob & no toothpick would come out. It would take 4-5 flips. Then occasionally it would work & we thought it was breaking in & would work as described. It might work 2-3 times before you’d flip the knob and again nothing.Then the knob started coming off. This was after 30 days so no return. The interior metal roller falls down inside the holder and Toothpicks spill out.You have to empty the toothpick holder completely to reassemble it from the inside.Six months later, we give up.What a mistake.We regret buying this. Ours does not work at all any more.

The classic toothpick dispensers look the best to me. It's just what I wanted. Very happy with purchase.

Like the stainless steel, works good, but two little arms that catch tooth picks should be angled down a bit so tooth picks don't roll back towards body of holder, some have trouble grasping tooth pick, but overall a great product.

I don't know how many times the box of toothpicks fell over and spilled. The last time it happened, I went out to eat that night and they had a Stainless Steel Toothpick Dispenser at the cash register. I looked at it and said "I have to have that". I ordered this item and believe it is the same restaurant quality. I find myself "STUCK" when making decisions on purchases when I see mixed reviews. Don't know what they were expecting but this works well for me. OK one complaint for all the Nay Sayers. It holds too many toothpicks.

We have had an identical toothpick dispenser which was purchased so long ago I couldn't remember where I found it. I'm guessing 20 years ago or so. We wanted another for our 5th wheel and have been unable to find one around here. I was very happy to find Amazon carried this great product! When the new dispenser arrived I placed the two stainless steel units side by side and could not tell the difference between the two . Both look great ! Honestly, I don't sell this little gadget , but I LOVE it !

This stainless steel toothpick despincer is great. It works evertime no more boxes or trying to get it out of small containers. Thank you for this product.
