Great to have in a classroom or learning space for kids to use in arts and craft , high quality and lots of paper !!

There is something liberating about an endless sheet of paper. The paper is good quality and the rolling mechanism itself is simple, but effective. The case is held closed with magnets so it is not very robust. However, this also makes it easy to use and less likely to break.I'm sure this would be great for kids, but I got this as an adult who just likes to scribble.

I have to say this paper roll is beyond impressive. From the packaging all the way to the function and paper, it exceeded my expectations. It is well packaged so it arrives well secured and unlikely to be damaged. The instructions are clear and simple (but you have to figure out on your own to remove all the clear tape!) and printed on the box so as there is no confusion on how to use the gadget. Once the paper is loaded, it’s quite easy to pull out the amount needed for my current project. The paper…the paper is where this puts this a cut above the rest. The paper is substantial. It doesn’t wrinkle. It feels and looks like very nice paper. It is a slightly off-white color and is a pleasure to draw and write on. The cutter folds up out of the way or can be left in the cutting position.If you use dot, grid or even plain paper and you’re looking for an easy way to store a lot of paper and need more than just a regular sheet of paper, this is the ticket! Great product!

Honestly I got this for the roller, not the paper … but they come together so you should know what you’re getting. The paper is good for its thickness and its ability to not bleed most high quality pens and permanent markers through.. but it’s so thick that it winds tight and holds its curl too much making it difficult to un-curl it. I suppose a work around to the issue would be to load it in upside down to where the paper is loaded with the curl under the unit but I don’t know how well that would work.. or if it really would work with the slicer.But again, I got this for the roller. The roller itself is great! It’s nice to be able to set it up along my coffee table for my kid to unroll his art paper tube that has a bunch of sea animals all over it and color it. I just wish this came with clips that could attach to a table, either by magnet or clamp so you could keep the ends down naturally.

I've had other paper rolls before and generally the problem has been that they are nice, but because they aren't very portable, they are bound to whatever table surface on which they come to rest. They are a pain to move. Having a portable paper roll on which to graphic note-take has been something I've wanted for a while.This little guy gets about 75% of the way there. It is compact and light, and if you save the box in which it came, I think is very portable, meaning that if you have to do your thing at a workshop at the client's location, you can be ready to go in minutes, and not really have to worry about shuffling papers as you do your thing.The dispenser is made entirely of plastic, but it is well-made and seems durable. I have no complaints and I like that it doesn't weigh very much. I am not as much of a fan of the magnet fasteners as I thought would be, however. They aren't very strong and if I were to throw this into my bag without its box, the top would be off before I reached my destination, and I would have paper falling out that needed to be threaded back on to the spool, etc. The magnets are nicer than plastic hinges, which are prone to breaking, but not these magnets. About 30-40% stronger would be better. Now, if you aren't going to portage this around, this complaint will not affect you. But even if you do want the portability, the box only adds a couple of inches worth of additional size, so I am not going to complain. I'll mostly keep this in its box, ready for travel, in any case, as I have a larger one ready to be used in my studio.Now, onto the working surface element. The paper is nice quality and takes all manner of heavy inks, color inks, and even permanent marker without bleeding. It has a nice whiteness to it. The grid and the graph options are both nice, and it's nice to have the choice. In both cases, it is printed lightly enough that it quickly fades into the background of your work, while still giving you some reference for your work.But the stiffness of the paper is a problem. It's rolled pretty tightly on the spool and it has a real problem with memory curl. Like, leaving it out under the weight of a book for more than 24 hours and it still immediately curled back into a tight cylinder type of memory curl. I would prefer a lighter weight of paper that can be straightened. In fact, I would have to insist on it -- I won't be using any more of this companies paper because I need to be able to counter-roll the paper and have it lay 90% of the way to completely flat with no more fuss. Even after being out on the table for three days, I was still having to lay weight on both sides of the paper, and press down to keep the work surface flat.So really I am giving the case a five-star and the paper three-stars, and averaging it out to 4 stars. I really like the form-factor and the portability, but I am going to be looking for a different paper.

This is a good quality paper roll cutter. It even comes with a roll of nice, thick graph paper and a roll of dot grid paper. I could see this used for a variety of roll products like butcher paper, craft paper, HTV vinyl or adhesive vinyl rolls. Good for craft, kitchen, office and utility operations. The blade is sharp and accurate. There are no burrs, frays or shreds on the cut line. I haven’t tried it yet but I dont think the paper or product You’re cutting, actually has to be in roll form, so essentially, you could put a regular sized sheet of paper through it. Helpful for junk journaling, scrapbooking and collages. The only limitation I see is the width of the unit. It can only accommodate rolls that are less than 11.22” inches in width, so if you have a larger roll of wrapping paper, it wouldn’t fit
