Item is as pictured and described. I bought for a work contest and 4 of them came in broken. Requested a refund. Wheels were easy to put together and are decently made.

This is about as simple a gadget as can be. It does one thing: the wheel spins when you twirl it with your hand. When it stops, the center pointer will necessarily be pointing at one of the 8 colored sections. You can write on the colored sections with the included dry-erase marker, or, you can ask someone to pick a color before they spin and, if that color comes up, they win something.Does this do the job? It does - barely. The device consists of 4 parts, 3 of which are fastened together by screws, and the last (the pointer) simply has a magnet you stick on the screw that holds the wheel. Nothing wrong with any of that, but, there is no provision for the wheel to actually spin - if you screw the screw in all the way, it holds the wheel tightly. There needed to be some kind of standoff so the screw would keep the wheel from falling off but still allow it to rotate. As it is, you need to not screw the screw in quite all the way, which means it's loose - not only will it eventually unscrew and the wheel drop off, but, since the pointer is magnetically stuck onto it, it's not really on there very solidly and can easily rotate itself, pointing in some other direction from where you set it.For the above reasons, I consider this to be rather overpriced, even though it's not really very expensive. A few minor design changes would make it much better.
