Let me start by saying I'm not a silky fanboy or anything, I could care less about brand names, what matters to me is quality. I've owned a few different models of Silky saws, and now a few different models of the Tabor Tools saws so I've a bit of a variety to compare and contrast. Thus far I would definitely say that the Silky saws are better quality. They feel more robust, and they just simply hold their edge much longer than the Tabor Tools saws that I've used so far. Having said that, the Tabor Tools saws are still quite good, they do come razor sharp, and the sheaths on the two I purchased are quite nice. My only major issue with these is that they just don't hold an edge nearly as long, but at the much lower price perhaps this is an acceptable attribute. I would still recommend these saws, especially for folks that only need them for occasional use, I use my saws every single day, sometimes for several hours, so edge retention is of utmost importance to me which is why I opt to use my Silky saws for the brunt of my forestry work.

Nice scarab and sharp blade but returned due to blade not being rigid enough for me. I wanted a thick blade that won't bend under strenuous conditions.

I purchased this based on the good reviews and this tool did not disappoint. Cutting and pruning the shrubs and small trees in the yard is a lot easier now. The pruning saw is of good quality and I expect it to last and serve me well.

I've been using it to do some very heavy pruning on overgrown fruit trees. I've been able to cut through some very thick branches relatively easily (despite not a lot of upper-body strength ;) ). It works great!

Para podar ramas verdes, corta que no veas. Incluso ramas de 10 cm o así.Me compré una eléctrica pero sigo usando la manual cuando quiero podar ramas más gordas, porque la eléctrica se atora un poco.

I bought this saw for a backing trip in the Bridget Tetons in Wyoming. I wanted something light and packable. The damn thing works great.. only cut to about 4-6 inches in diameter a few times, mainly used to limb off branches.. couldn't believe that much quality for such a low price.. blade still sharp, just hope I can replace the blade when I need to.. if not I'll just buy another saw.. good product

I kid you not--this is absolutely the most satisfying, amazing garden tool I have ever used. What everyone else says, including the product descriptions, are totally on target. I am 64 yrs. old and never been known for my upper body strength, my large or my fine motor skills. Duck if you see me with a hammer or a drill in my hand. But this saw? It/I made beautiful cuts through 4 inch branches, sawing them off in just a couple minutes without breaking a drop of sweat. My first project with this saw was to bring a huge, unruly smoke bush down to the main trunk, just 2 feet from the ground. Easy peasy. Then my son and I took down a 25' - 30' "junk" tree in the back of a my lot in less than an hour just today. This Tabor Tools 10" Pruning Saw has rebuilt my physical abilities self esteem and turned me into Super Pruning Woman. And as the product description says, this saw is absolutely FUN to use!

If I could give this saw 10 stars I would. It is far and away the best saw I have ever used. Very comfortable grip. We just had a snowstorm that broke the limbs off a tree. This saw cut through a 6 inch diameter limb in a very short time. I'm in my mid sixties and the saw made the work easy. It is a pleasure to use.

I have quite a few trees to trim on a property that has been neglected for about a decade now--apple, black walnut, oak and maple. Getting the right saw for the task was an important step. I have just begun but can already tell that my choice was a good one for me. It is quite sharp so the cuts do not require considerable fruitless labor. The shorter length means a lighter tool, so my arms do not tire as quickly when cutting above my head. The short blade also makes it easier to trim in tight places without damaging other limbs nearby. Good product, and affordable.
