Not much I can say. The pump does its job well. I have the stainless steel pump and use it for a domestic hot water recirculating system. Very quiet and moves the water quickly. Clear installation instructions. No complaints.

Excellent quality. Silent. Not a lot of energy. Use it for. A Towel warmer.

I have an open-loop system for solar heating water using a photovoltaic-powered pump to move water up from a 6-foot tall insulated tank to the flat-plate water heater on the roof. The water-heating loop only works when the sun is shining. Then, I distribute heated water with a separate 115-volt pump through the PEX tubing that was installed in the slab of my 1200-square-foot home. This loop mainly operates during the afternoons and evenings and is thermostatically controlled.I purchased this stainless steel model of the Taco pump to replace a bronze Laing pump that eventually quit after 10 years of circulating water through the slab of my house. I have to use either a bronze or stainless steel pump, because the hot water tank is open to the atmosphere and makeup rainwater is harvested during rain events. Cast iron pumps will not last under those conditions. The Taco pump is considerably more powerful than the prior Laing pump, so I do not need to run it as long during the afternoons and evenings to heat my floor. It is almost as quiet as the former Laing pump. I have had good reliability experiences with Taco pumps in industrial applications. The only thing I had to modify after removing the old pump and installing the Taco pump was to install an air purge valve immediately downstream from the Taco pump. This is simply a 3/4" CPVC ball valve installed on a CPVC tee, with the valve pointed up. After bleeding all the air from the Taco pump using gravity feed from the hot water storage tank, the pump has needed no further attention so far. This pump is now circulating hot rainwater through a very long serpentine arrangement of PEX tubing in the slab of my house, and then overcoming an additional 7 feet of head to deposit the return water in the top of my hot water storage tank. The return flow is strong, but not so strong that the water is still hot upon return.I am happy with this purchase, and glad to be working with a manufacturer who has a good reputation for reliability.

This is my first recirculator. I have no experience with others. This TACO seems to work well and some reviews indicate they last a long time. We'll see. The good news is it's quiet and the flowrate is FAST. Within 20 seconds I've flushed 40 feet of line with hot water. It uses 30watts (the Laing's use 14watts!!) and the body gets very hot (maybe 140-deg F)vsince it's not vented. I called the factory and they say that's a normal temp. OK, fine.Anyway, running it continuously seems unnecessary. So, I bought both an AuqaStat on Ebay for $25 (which is a clip-on temperature switch attached furthest from the heater) and a digital 'duration' timer from Amazon for $15 that powers the pump. The AquaStat assures the pump won't run if the pipe's temp is greater than 115F. And the duration timer controls the time of day it'll run, and in what duration. I have mine set for mornings and evenings, for 1 minute ON, then off for 8 minutes. Given the insulation on my pipes, I'd say this thing is running less than an hour each day.A 30watt pump will cost about $5/month to run: (24hrs x 30w x 30days)/1,000kw x $0.24kwhr. So, the pay-back for the AquaStat and timer is about 2-yrs. If I wanted to save, I'd fore-go the AuqaStat. The only drawback I foresee with a timer is the start/stopping of the TACO (which uses a starting capacitor) which might shorten it's life. The best bang-for-the-buck is to NOT purchase the manufacturer's timer (which costs an extra $75 and only offers 15 minute intervals). Instead, buy a $15 "Multifunctional Infinite Cycle Programmable Plug-in Digital Timer" and plug the pump into it.

This works perfectly as a recirculation pump for my tankless hot water heater with a very long run to the shower. It pulls minimal wattage (measured it at ~20 watts), and I measured it pulling ~1.8 GPM through 80 ft of 3/4 and 80 ft of 1/2 copper pipe (including a slightly restrictive one-way brass valve). I would bet that it could pull more without the restrictive brass valve on. The absolute best part about this pump is the quiet operation - even standing right next to it the noise is minimal and unobtrusive.Make sure you have a proper bleeder valve in the system, as the pump cannot prime itself and purge air bubbles. I used a 3/4 shut-off valve with built-in bleeder for this purpose, worked great.

I use this to get hot water to the furthest point in my house (a bathroom) without wasting it down the drain. I had a different brand previously but it went kaput after 3 years. I live in the south so the pump is only used for ~5 minutes total each day for ~3.5 months. The old pump was a sealed plastic unit that never looked very durable. This unit is the cat's meow! Looks extremely durable.I installed it the other day and it works very well and is QUIET. It's so quiet that I'm installing an indicator light on the pump switch to remind me to turn it off. It's plumbed with 2 ball valves and 2 plugs so that the pump can be removed from service during the other 8.5 months out of the year. If you use it like I use it, you have to get a check valve.
