It holds everything you need on the field. I bought this specifically for the pistol holster, didn't want to buy another. Your sides aren't covered much and if you're hit there then you're definitely gonna feel it. It's not heavily padded or anything but that's what the pockets are for. Load it up with your gear and if you're hit in the chest you'll know it but won't feel the sting. If you take a hit in the back or the sides, it really just depends on the distance. Greater starter vest for airsoft. Only complaint i can think of is adjusting the size when you get it can be a little difficult, and the pistol holster saggs forward a little even after being tightened as much as it'll go, and that's with a pistol that isn't very heavy.

I have a love-hate relationship with this vest. I love its lightweight design and the abundance of pockets and compartments for storage. However, because it’s so lightweight, I question how durable it will be over time. That said, at its current price, it’s likely to last long enough to be well worth the investment. As for the fit, I’m a fairly average size, maybe a bit on the smaller side, weighing about 140 pounds and standing 5’10”. The vest is quite large, but I can adjust it to fit me comfortably. My biggest complaint is the belt. It sits way too low—about 6 inches below where a normal belt would rest. Aside from the low belt and the vest being a bit oversized, I really like it overall.

I got this for my 12 yo. He wears a men's large, so this vest fit him fine, but it's really heavy and he wasn't comfortable wearing it after about half an hour. It's well made and can definitely take a paintball hit. Lots of pockets for gear. The seams and material are fine and hold strong. Washable in a machine without an agitator or I just hose this one off.
