Will not hold resistance setting at #1 and it's difficult change resistance levels. Too much resistance for beginners at any level. I have a ten year old Tacx trainer that works beautifully but could not help my novice friend train with this device. The quality is not there anymore. I'm very disappointed. I tried it and it is not for me. If you want a repetitive use injury, this is the trainer for you. We returned it.

Very good trainer. Extremely easy to set up and get going, took me no more than 10 minutes. the front wheel block is essential so was good to see it included in the cost. Even when out of the saddle the trainer feels sturdy meaning you can really push hard for as long as you can manage.Only criticism is the leaver which you attach to the handle bars to adjust the resistance. It is very stiff and so often requires two hands to crank up the resistance. This is a bit of a pain and can often mess with your rhythm when riding.Other than that I cant imagine you will get a better trainer for the money.

This is a great item. It is sturdy and does just what it says on the tin. It is a very good resistance and it allows a very good training session. It is a great tool for series. . On the small ring, it doesn't make much noise. Only when on the big chain ring does it start making noise. Overall, I am very satisfied

Poor quality and bad support from Tacx and distributors.I used the trainer for 2 seasons and kept the trainer in my basement (relatively dry). The most annoying thing about the trainer is the cable and shifter mechanism to control the magnetic brake settings. The shifter and cable would with no tension defaults to the highest resistance so any movement or lack of ideal positioning of the shifter causes difficulties with undesired shifting (happens almost every session). I imagine that the resistance settings vary quite a bit depending on the setup, since there is a tuning knob which changes distance of the roller to the tire, without a power meter to correlate to their power chart I would not count on this as a feature. I burned through a tacx trainer tire in less than one season in part due to ignoring the fine tuning.Flash forward to this season where I was caught off guard when the shifter cable broke during my cool down, remember it goes to the maximum resistance when tension is released. When i took out the cable, it had rusted right through probably where some moisture collected as the cable rested on the training matt. There was NO evidence of any grease on the cable. I thought no problem, how hard could it be to replace a cable? Taking the cable to a LBS It was not a standard bike shifter or brake cable. When contacting both Tacx and an LBS dealer, I got more concern expressed by the LBS. They contacted the distributor who had supposedly never heard of such a thing, they could not suggest what part to buy as a replacement and didn't suggest to brining it in for repair. The Tacx response was cold and exact, referring me to link to a link on their website to contact local dealers. When I reached out again to Tacx and expressed frustration at the quality and my experience, they again referred me again to the LBS, and pointed out that the LBS would likely point out the trainer is no longer under warranty. No other sympathies or acknowledgment of their products poor performance was offered. It's customer service 101 to empathize with your customer and accept fault even if none exists. I have experienced such expression from countless other manufacturers and from industries including retail clothing from shops at a mall. What is amazing to me (beside of the lack of contemporary customer service or rationale human interaction) is that there was no suggestion from Tacx as to what replacement part I need, lack of any inquiry or follow up. I got only the coldest non caring response. Why do they feel so strongly they can not intervene in this request or offer a solution? Then it clicked and made perfect sense, they thought as much about that as they did when they failed to control the quality of their products when they let the discount contract manufacturer fail to put grease on my shifter cable...
