This is one of those trending social media items. It's not for me. I don't like plastic in my clothes. I can see why it's useful and great for others though. I haven't really found a way to use it. This gun came as described with a carrying case and extra tags. Its not a bad price at all. I am sure others love it but my brain just has no use for it.

This works ok and it'll get the job done in a short term. It feels really flimsy to me. I own my own business and I know that 'everything' get's dropped by accident or outright abused. I can't see this handling much of that... but as a backup sure.

As a tagging gun, it works great. I have no complaints with it's ability to load, stab, and leave behind a plastic tag. It will indeed connect two pieces of fabric or a tag to fabric, without leaving a big hole. It doesn't damage fabric, and it doesn't jam. You get a lot of tags and needles, so you'll be good for a while. But it's not as versatile as advertised.Unfortunately, the issue is the tags themselves. They are too big to hold fabric in place, and they are too noticeable to actually be a stitching solution on their own. I've seen these used to pin together fabric before you sew it, but if you need precision, the tags are too large so the fabric will shift around much more than with a real pin. The ends are pretty large, so you can't really use these for buttons or anything permanent.Overall, it's a niche tool that does have a purpose, but it's not going to replace a needle and thread, and doesn't quite beat out pins unless you value speed over precision.

I got it because my daughter works in a toy store and thought she could use this. She can't, but only because the stuffed animals are too big. I tested it out on the envelope it came in and it works like a champ, so 4 stars. Wish it had a longer fastener though. 0.9" won't be very useful unless the items are tiny/

This is a small tag gun. It releases small, less than a quarter inch plastic fasteners. Given that the fasteners are so small and either black or clear, this can be used as an alternative to safety pins or as a small stitch. I don’t know if this would be an optimal solution for hemming pants but I used it to hem curtains and it worked better than the double sided hemming tape. The needle portion of the gun is extremely sharp and thin - so careful around children or pets. I’ll be using this for small stitching alternatives for tops or dresses’ necklines and to hem curtains. I magnified a curtain picture so the plastic fastener was viewable but otherwise it’s hardly noticeable because the curtains are cream colored. Hence these probably are more inconspicuous than pins.

I'm a bit conflicted on how to review this item, on the one hand it really just does what it says, it will take Nylon "threads" (plastic fasteners) and fasten things. It even says in the description that it was originally for attaching tags to clothing and then was used for quick stitching, which i can see how they got there. The issue i take with this sort of item is that while i can see how it will work in a pinch to fasten something, it really isn't a permanent solution, as it has plastic pieces that will likely poke you, or come out if you snag it at all.I will say that this would have come in handy years ago when i split my pants at the start of a work shift and had to resort to a stapler to get me through the day. I wouldn't use this for any sort of permanent fix. I tried to use it to secure a hole in a pocket, but i found the material too fine (which the instructions say isn't ideal so i can't knock it for that). I think this would actually work great to attach prices to clothing at a garage sale, that seems like an ideal situation. Or perhaps if you need to keep a wrap temporarily closed, or something along those lines. It might be something i'd keep in a glove compartment for an emergency, but i'll likely have to stick with needle and thread for my pockets and other more permanent fixes needed. I will say that for the price, it's a decent little device for an emergency situation.

This little gadget is so handy to have around. It's perfect for fast fabric adjustments. I no longer have to dig out the sewing kit for a fix.The stitch gun comes with a needle already attached. It slso includes: 1,000 white and 1,000 black 5mm length fasteners, 5 replacement needles in its case, and instruction sheet. It's easy to set up, just insert a fastening strip (white or black) into the slot and push down until you hear a click and it's ready to go.I do wish it came with a storage pouch so I can keep it all together. For now, I'll have to keep the box it arrived in. It looks and feels like a cheap Dollar Store item, however, it works and saves time.
