Only reason I am not giving it a 5/5 is because the installation instructions are a bit confusing. What I thought would be a 30 minute install or less became an hour endeavour. That said very sturdy and a bit heavy.

When we go off-roading im the designated cook and have to grill up some hotdogs and burgers for my friends. Typically I set up my propane grill in the back of my Jeep. This helped me create a table in the tailgate without occupying too much space. It’s extremely solid and took about 10 mins to install. Highly recommend it, just keep in mind if you have a sub in the rear, you will need to relocate it or remove it for the tailgate to close.

This was a nice quick and easy install that didn’t require any drilling on a Wrangler JKU. It feels quite sturdy and doesn’t rattle at all. You can open both shelves or leave the top one down if you need the height on the bottom one. Doesn’t intrude into rear storage.

This is an OK table with modifications. There are mounts for both JK and JL. I installed on JK. Install is easy. Just remove the plastic wire cover by pulling up/off from bottom. Then use the pre-assembled hardware to install as instructions show. I did not like the wiring exposed so just covered with some Gorilla tape. The tables both had a real heavy slant to them, not good for cooking on. I re-drilled the main shelf wires to make the shelf level. You could easily replace them with longer ones as well. If you are not cooking on the platform then it will not be an issue. I decided to do away with the top shelf, I thought it would be handy when cooking having extra space but found it was just in the way and clumsy. This opened up the space the shelf took as a small recessed area to mount items to. I used 1/4" plywood and covered in carpet to store a few of my most used items. I also mounted a piece of 3/8 plywood to the main shelf to use as a base to cook and as a base to mount my tool holders too. Works pretty good in this way. I will run this for a while and see how I like it, probably will build my own next but for 90$ or so this is a good option to see how useful this type of table is for you. It does feel a little flimsy but with the MOLLE attachments and plywood what little noise it makes is dampened well.

Excellent product for the price but you have to throw away the instructions if you have a JL.Abandon the standoffs. Those are the aluminum collars that are supposed to provide spacing between the painted body and the tray. There's absolutely no reason to use them and they just increase the opportunity of you screwing up. Instead, remove the rectangular top portion design for the factory rail system. You can put that away as you don't need it at all and no reason to drill through it. However you do have to make two small holes directly opposite the two bottom outermost threaded standoffs on the door. This is pretty easy to do. Put the aftermarket screws in the holes to almost flush level with the panel. Just have them stick out a quarter of an inch. Then coat the heads will you put the screwdriver in with thick grease. Just a dab on each one. You're not going to use it for lubricant. Now position the top part of the black plastic panel you pryed off. Make sure it's perfectly centered. Then swing the bottom down and contact it to the screws. It should not be enough to clip it in as the screws should be preventing it. Now remove it again and you should have two grease marks on the back of the panel from the screw heads. That's where you're going to drill. Drill a 3/8 hole from the inside out right in the center of those Grease marks. Remove the screws and clean them up. Now put the black plastic panel in without that rectangular insert you discarded. Now install the Trey using the four bolts washers and lock washers. You will be able to get the tray flush up against the plastic interior panel. It may be a little difficult to get the bottom screws because of the angle so I recommend maybe using an allen head at the end of a quarter inch driver extension? Either way you can get it in there. Don't torque them down too tight or you'll crack the plastic. That should be it see the pictures. Very flush and professional looking.

Honestly Im pretty impressed with the build quality. Instructions arent great for a JL but its not that hard to figure out. Amazed it doesnt rattle when driving offroad. Sturdy enough to hold a few cases of beverages. The steel and paint is also pretty good!
