This is a must have if you install a tailgate assist strut on your Maverick and don’t want to lose your tail gate tie downs. Thick steel construction. Very pleased with the quality and confident it will do the job.

If you install the tailgate assist but still want a tie-down on the driver side, this does the trick. I ended up replacing the tie down on the passenger side as well so they'd match. I thought the factory "beer opener" anchor style looked dumb anyway. If you've got a drop-in bed liner these anchors may rub against it, but they work without interference with the spray-in on my Mav.

Likes: nicely made. allows you to have both tie downs if you install a Tailgate Assist strut.NOTE: I bought these because I installed a tailgate assist strut which requires you to remove the left factory (Bottle Opener) tie down. I figured these would be a perfect replacements for the factory tie downs and not interfere with the shock. Unfortunately, my truck came with a Factory Plastic Bed liner. After installing the left one that I had already removed, I tried to shut the tailgate only to find that these tie downs hit the Plastic bed liner so I couldn’t shut the tailgate. This wouldn’t be an issue if I had a spray in liner, or no liner at all. I’m going to have to cut out a slot in the bed liner to fix this interference problem.Dislikes: None, except the listing on Amazon should note that these will cause an interference problem with plastic bed liners.
