Although listed as a replacement for a 1988 Ford Bronco, it is not. Gear center post is slightly larger than OEM, which means it won't quite fit without modifying the tailgate. Wire harness is also not compatible with 88 Bronco, so you would have to hardwire the power. Ended up returning it and repairing my old motor instead.

This rear window lift motor is much stronger than the weaker side window motor being sold as an adequate replacement.

Worked great for 1981 rear bronco window. Be careful, there are two motor options that look the same. One works the rear window and left or right door window , I forget. The other is opposite.

At first I got side window motor thinking it was tailgate motor. Amazon and seller made it right at no extra cost!! That’s awesome customer service! I have a business decal and new rubber seal and it works perfectly. It’s faster than old motor and quiet. Can’t beat price!!

Used this to replace the tailgate window motor in my 93 bronco. The motor assembly fit as expected and works well but a couple of things to know for next time:1. Bolt holes are not threaded. I had to pull the motor back out once I noticed this and thread the holes2. The wire was not long enough to route through the tailgate in the same way it was done by the factory. I ended up cutting and splicing the old wire and using the old loom to protect the wire.
