Guitar arrived well packaged. The guitar was in perfect condition ( just had to tune it up). It is a nice hardshell case that comes with the guitar and the stand was a nice bonus. Everywhere else the guitar is $599 by itself and the hardshell case will cost an additional $99 - $129, so to get the case with the guitar at the $599 is awesome.

The Takamine GD51CE-NAT Acoustic Electric Guitar is everything I’ve ever dreamed of in an instrument—I’m fully expecting a recording contract and a move to Nashville by Christmas, January at the latest! This guitar is built to shine on stage, and its sound is as bold as its design. The **solid spruce top and black walnut back and sides** deliver a rich, resonant tone that fills the room, whether I’m strumming chords or fingerpicking melodies. The **Venetian-style cutaway** makes it easy to hit those higher frets, while the **slim mahogany neck and bound laurel fingerboard** feel smooth and effortless to play. What truly sets this guitar apart is the **Takamine TP-4TD preamp system**, complete with a built-in tuner and three-band EQ. It’s perfect for dialing in the right sound for any performance or recording setup. The added touches like the **abalone rosette, mother-of-pearl inlays, and gold die-cast tuners** give it a high-end, professional look. This guitar is ready for anything—gigs, studio sessions, or just jamming at home. A great addition to my slowly growing collection. Sounded great right out of the box. Action right where it needed to be. Slight buzz on the 'B' string, on the higher frets, cleared up with a set of Elixer nanoweb strings. The case is nice and sturdy, and the stand was a plus as well. Fit and finish seem to be flawless as well. Has a deeper sound than my Ibanez A5 artist series. Has more of a 'C' contoured neck. All in all, a great mid-level guitar. I am not disappointed in the least with this guitar. The onboard electronics are a plus especially with the tuner. Only problem I have now is to decide which guitar to use for an alternate tunning!

I bought a sunburst GD51CE and my brother loved it so much that he wanted one but he preferred the natural. So we ordered this one. It came with a very nice case and the stand for less than I paid for just my guitar. Takamine is an amazing guitar!!! The quality is exceptional and the action is incredibly low for super easy playability. We both changed the strings the first day we had them and the sound is incredible. He uses Martin 7100 on his and I use the new D'addario NB1253 for a more mellow sound. But you can drop it a half step or full step with no problem at all. I have since bought the 12 string version of this guitar and it is equally as amazing. I didn't change the strings on it. It sounded and played incredible out of the box. So 3 Takamine guitars in two weeks from 3 different vendors and all perfect out of the box. I AM IMPRESSED!!! NO SET UP WORK AT ALL NEEDED ON ANY OF THE THREE!!!! I now have 28 guitars so don't really need anymore but if I ever do, you can bet it will be a Takamine without a doubt. We have a 3 Martin 6 strings, a Martin 12 string, an all Mahagony Zager, a Taylor and a really nice Ibanez, as well as an Ovation 12 string. All acoustic/electrics and both of our preferences is to play the Takamines. They are that good!!!! And 1/2 to 2/3 cheaper than the others.
