When I first started shopping for cymbal boom clamps I was disappointed that they were all so expensive. I wanted to stay with Tama because of my experience with the quality. I came across these and thought it was a mistake or misleading. Nope! I research the stands and although they are made for the cocktail kit, they're still the same Roadpro quality. They are plenty long enough and work great in my configuration with 11 cymbals on 4 stands.

These definitely work and hold solid to the kit, I just don't know how much I like the hihat clutch. I have been having trouble keeping the hihat at an acceptable level of "closed", tried tape and gels to close it tighter and dampen....sometimes I can get it good. But if someone touches it (which everyone does because they've "never seen a cocktail kit", people suck) forget it, people don't understand it's not like a traditional hihat. "Open" (which sounds like trash on this) or closed, that's what you get
