I've been downsizing my kit so these stands great. Light, but still strong enough to stand up to gigging every week. Double braced hardware is great long as you're not the one carrying it.

Used TAMA hardware for decades. Still have functional TAMA boom stands from the 90s. Really wanted something new and shiny to go with my new kit. Didn't *need* this stand, but wanted it and expect it will be around another couple decades.

I bought this stand out of curiosity. I wanted to see how light it and functional would be compared to a regular roadpro stand and some DW 7000s I own and this stand exceeded my expectations. The stand is extremely sturdy and secure. I mounted a 24" k Light Ride along a 12" tom clamped to it, marked it with a Sharpie and after playing for a week I was surprised the stand didn't lower even though it doesn't have memory locks. Another thing I noticed is that the curved legs design along with the oversized rubber feet make it extremely stable. Also the tubing gage is slightly thinner than the regular roadpro stands and the boom arm is hollow which helps reduce the overall weight of the stand. I will be replacing all my double braced stands little by little for some of these to reduce the overall weight of my hardware bag.
