This was actually really adorable when I got it out of the box. The disappointment hit when I put fresh batteries in and nothing happened. It did work when I use the cord to plug it in, but it did not work on batteries, which was what I needed.I could have worked with having to use the cord except that the cord was also very short. If it is only going to work with the cord, the cord needs to be longer so it can actually reach an outlet from a tabletop. It was also making a loud popping sound as the reindeer moved. I can imagine this would have gotten very annoying very quickly.So, I ended up instantly returning this since I am unable to utilize the motion and lights. I was not looking for a static table top decoration, which because it doesn't work as it was advertised, this would end up being.

I was disappointed to receive a broken item. There were no lights or sound.
