The 18-300mm F/3.5-6.3 Di III-A VC VXD (Model B061X) is an all-in-one zoom lens for FUJIFILM X-mount APS-C mirrorless cameras. It is the first lens in the world for APS-C mirrorless cameras with a zoom ratio of 16.6x and 18-300mm focal length range (the full-frame equivalent of 27-450mm). Zooming from wide-angle to ultra-telephoto, it covers a broad array of shooting situations, including landscape, sports, wildlife, snapshots, and portraits. The mirrorless lens has a compact design that makes it easy to carry every day, and it is ideal for travel and family activities.
With a 0.15m (5.9 in) MOD (Minimum Object Distance) at the wide end and a maximum magnification ratio of 1:2, it lets you photograph subjects with a unique perspective. In addition, autofocus is very fast and accurate thanks to its precise, high speed VXD (Voice-coil eXtreme-torque Drive) linear motor focus mechanism. And for steady shots, it is equipped with TAMRON's proprietary VC (Vibration Compensation) system. The autofocus system of the 18-300mm F / 3.5-6.3 VC VXD is based on the VXD linear motor technology developed by Tamron, which focuses on the motif quickly and precisely. Even with the 300mm telephoto position, the focus changes from the minimum setting distance to infinity within a very short time. As autofocus works almost silently, the lens is also ideal for photo and video recordings in situations where absolute silence is required.
VC Image Stabilizer For Sharp Images
The lens has Tamron's VC image stabilization, which compensates for unwanted camera movements in poor lighting conditions, such as indoors or after sunset. In addition, it is equipped with artificial intelligence that automatically selects the optimal VC setting for video recordings with focal lengths of up to 70mm.

This lens takes amazing pictures...the zoom capabilities are exactly what I was looking for to get up-close shots of athletes in action (mostly swimmers). I use this as my everyday lens and have never had to use a different lens for any pictures that I take.

I purchased this lens after damaging my SONY 18-135mm lens. I wanted to replace it with a one lens solution for all my photography/video and add more magnification. This lens was announced by Tamron and it sounded perfect for my needs. After a trip to South Africa and Zimbabwe, I can attest that this lens does not disappoint. 16.6X magnification put me up close and personal with all kids of animals and birds. And it's not that big that you can't steady it enough with your arms for in-focus long range shots. Some minor quibbles. The photos are a little soft, especially the long distance shots. Acceptable, but not breath taking. And one more small issue. While I was able to find a camera case to accommodate my camera and my 18-135mm lens, I have not yet found such a product for this Tamron even though it isn't much larger. Regardless, I still would highly recommend this lens as a great value for SONY users. I understand there now is a version for Fuji cameras too.

It’s a pretty hefty lens. Like when with family, it is absolutely impossible to be even semi-unnoticeable unless shooting at a distance. But as an all in one it is amazing! The zoom is freaking awesome and fantastic to not need to switch lens from taking scenery pics to zoom in on wildlife or new scenic angle. Can’t wait to travel with it. Only minor gripe is that it’s not quite as wide for scenic pics, but the new possibilities with range… more than makes up for it.
