U seen reviews they to big but that not the Case. Your wood is to small. Home Depot and Lowe’s sells undersized wood there 4x4 are 3.25 x3.25. —-These 4x4 are from Menards. True 3.5x3.5.

Much cheaper than other brands but the quality of the finished item is not that great. I had to strip and repaint mine at they weren’t up to par. The base metal was showing through over half of them. I bought 32 of them so I just stripped and repainted all of them out of fears of them all failing eventually. They are 3&9/16” which is perfect but my post had dried to 3&3/8” which left them loser than I’d prefer so I had to do some subfloor glue to restrain them.

these are strong and durable and fit exact post of 3.5 by 3.5 look very good and seem like they will last

These post skirts were a nice addition to the posts for my porch. I also added matching post caps. They slip easily over standard 4x4 posts.

Description says can be installed without removing the railing. This is false as these are a single piece unit.
