We used as individual fondue bowls. Worked well but did burn the cheese a little at the bottom.

But the execution … not the greatest. The “porcelain” plates all came broken. They are very poor quality and didn’t make the trip. It was beautifully and well wrapped and the break seems to be due to bad material and quality . But I did love the idea .

It's in season right now so we have been eating an abundance of crab. It's always such a hassle to crack and get the meat out of crab and additionally to have to keep reheating the butter because it is a long process. These ceramic butter warmers have absolutely been a game changer for us. Unfortunately the two ceramic butter dishes that were at the bottom of the stack were broken upon arrival. This was not a huge deal for me since we only need four of the dishes at a time. These are a little thinner and more fragile than some of the other similar dishes that I have so I have to be careful when washing them. The metal stands are stable when placed on a flat surface and I was not worried about it getting knocked over.This set comes with 32 tea light candles which for us were one time use only. When lit, these kept my butter melted and warm the entire time...Maybe a little too warm, and at the bottom the butter burnt my fingers when I dipped. Even with these few flaws I was very thankful to have them and it made my meal much more enjoyable. I'm looking forward to using these for cheese fondue and melted chocolate and think they will work great for keeping any king of dipping sauce warm.

I loved the items. Each one of my guest had their own garlic butter dish to dip their crab in. The best thing is no one had to share with someone else. Very easy to clean.
