I have been using this convenient tool for the last 10 years or so and finally the elastic string got old and stopped spring back to me so I bought the same one again. This is not for a lonely person who doesn't have a friend to play with, it's so perfect to warm up my shoulder before I go play volleyball. Casually hit the ball to practice serving or whatever so my shoulder can loosen up and the best part is that I won't have to worry about hitting hard; it always comes back nicely to me so all I need is a small space outside; I love this so much, inexpensive but really well made!

I read a review that says the tether is not long enough, my daughter is 5’3 and has no problem extending the lead for her over hand toss. You just need to have a controlled toss and I think this aid not only helps with hand eye coordination to strike their serve but to make sure they only lift the ball high enough to have a nice controlled toss

For 6 foot tall individual, can't really throw the ball up highly enough to practice serves unless you wrap the velcro around the chest. Otherwise great product. Fits both beach and indoor balls snugly. Withstands some really hard hitting. No signs of damage after extreme daily use for 2 months.

I got this for my daughter, who started playing volleyball it is amazing. I will first remind you that you need to set it up before your child begins to play with it. My daughter is the type that opens it and cant wait so she set it up herself and did not release the strap and the ball came back at her face. If you set it up for them this will not happen and it will serve (no pun intended) its purpose. Great for those who are learning the height of the toss and making the proper connection with the ball. My daughter is 10 and almost 5ft and it works perfect for her.

Lo usan mis hijas pequeñas que están comenzando a practicar voleibol y están encantadas. Con él no suelo practican el saque sino también el remate

I suspected this was not a great solution for my daughter to practice but I was hoping it would work better. I knew it wasn't going to be perfect. She is 5'4 and there is no way the tether is long enough for her to toss in the air to practice serves. We didn't try hanging it from a basketball hoop or tree. Returned it.What did work pretty good for us was at our local community rec center. They have 2 racquetball courts that are seldom used. Surprisingly, that turned out to a great solution! It requires a drive while we would have preferred our yard but she had the best workout! Membership was like $65 yr.

I had doubts with some of the reviews I had read about the tether being too short... I LOVE the product!!!! My 15-year-old is in a summer league and the only issue she has is at serve. She is 5'10" with a very long "wing span"! LOL. Because she is a bit on the gangly-side I thought this might help her get more confident in her serving... I was amazed at the difference just 1 week has made. She went from averaging about 50% in her serves to 75 to 88.9%!!!! AWESOME!!! We have absolutely no issues with the length of the tether...

I just bought our second one. I bought it originally for my daughter over a year ago. She loved it immediately, and if her improved serving ability can be the proof, this item made a big difference! Little brother loved it, too, and they had to share it on occasion. It's just a fun toy aside from being a tool to use for volleyball practice.Over time and much use the neoprene strap is starting to wear from being repeatedly stretched and swung in circles both by my daughter and her exuberant brother. I am guessing at some point it will rip, but it hasn't yet!My daughter asked for another one and because it proved to be not only useful, but fun, she'll be getting another!Definitley recommend it!

This is an excellent training aid for those just learning to the BASIC overhand serve. Unless the player is tall or has long arms, the tether is a good length for making sure the ball does not get tossed too high (toss should be about 1 volleyball above where the player will hit it, not several feet in the air which is a common bad habit most learn). Because the tether isn't overly long, it helps the player increase the velocity of the serving hand which improves distance and speed of the ball.

This training aid is workable. It allows my daughter to practice serving without someone chasing the ball. We had a few problems to workout at the start but she is able to use it. She is an intermediate player and she needs to throw the ball too high for the tether. I would think the tether should be a little longer, maybe another 3 feet. With the tether attached around her waist, if she throws the ball too high, the tether pulls it down. I joked and said she should tether it around her neck. We worked around that problem by attaching the tether to the net of a basketball hoop. By doing that she can even practice jump serves. Jump serves will be limited as she gets better unless we extend the tether another 3 to 6 ft.The other problem we have is the ball starts to come out of the holder after about 25 hits and needs to be reinserted. Could use more Velcro for a better fit.I would rate this aid 5 stars for a beginning player needing to practice serves, 4 for intermediate and less for more advanced players.
