I recently used this turkey fan mounting kit, and I couldn’t be more pleased with the results! The wood is beautifully crafted and adds a touch of elegance to the display. The kit also includes borax for preserving the fan, which was a thoughtful addition. Clear and easy-to-follow directions made the process a breeze. This kit is especially meaningful to me as it holds my very first turkey, and it has made the memory even more special. I so badly wanted to give this mount a 5 star review. This mount is made of 100% real wood. It has a beautiful dark color to it, a smooth finish, and is visually so beautiful. Its design is simple and timeless which I love so much. Many other turkey fan mounts on the market are either significantly lower quality wood (or straight up plastic…) or have designs that take away from the fan being the center of attention of the mount. The mount came with instructions and all the hardware necessary for assembling the mount, with one issue. The tacks provided for hammering in your turkey beard to the mount are FAR too large. I tried multiple angles and the tacks just end up splitting the beard in half which is not how a mounted beard should look. I ended up just using epoxy to hold the beard in the beard slot and it worked well. However, I wish that smaller tacks were just provided to avoid this issue. Regardless, I’m really impressed with this mount. Especially considering the affordable price, this is a must buy mount for any turkey hunter looking to mount a fan. Be warned, I was only able to mount the feet as seen in the photo by epoxying a perfectly measured string to both feet and then hanging that string on the back of the mount. There is not a way, to my knowledge, to mount feet to the mount with the provided hardware. I am rating this mount 4/5 and it’s more like a 4.9/5 with my sole issue being with the large tacks creating problems with mounting the beard. Overall I HIGHLY recommend this mount and will absolutely be purchasing another in the future if I am lucky.

Wood looks great. There is metal on back of wood. I was able to bend as necessary to get fan in place. I tied some braided fishing line around beard and tied to supplied tack. I drilled pilot holes before securing beard plate to fan plate. The process seemed very straightforward to me.

Very nice quality wood. Need a drill to attach the bottom part to the top part and I wish it had a way to secure the fan other than it just sitting into the metal bar but overall very happy with the way it looks.

Phenomenal quality mount kit I would have paid triple the price for. Not only that it’s a breeze to put together. I suggest using epoxy so you can mount your turkey the same day you harvest it. I hope I can post a pic of mine because it came out incredible. I will be buying these every time I’m lucky enough to put the smack down on a gobbler.

I bought this for my son to hang his first wild turkey fan. He picked it out though and it looks amazing! He wasn't going to save the fan because he only got a small Jake his first time out and the fan is nothing amazing but being his mom and all sentimental I kind of bullied him into saving and mounting it bc I said he'd regret not saving his first fan trophy and told him I'd buy the mount. He's happy I made him do it now! :) He loves it! This is a very high quality mount that looks just wonderful. Nice and simple yet elegant. None of that silly brand name stuff on the front to detract from the beauty of it. Really nice workmanship. Would definitely buy again and probably will next spring when his twin brother also gets his first wild turkey!
