The TayMac weatherproof plastic in-use cover is a one-gang (16 in 1 ) standard horizontal/vertical cover in grey MM410G that safely covers any electrical outlet in seconds. The patented Multi-Mac features our Universal Fit system which enables you to use the same product for all types of receptacles. One Multi-Mac does it all. The cover fits horizontally and vertically. It is made up of a durable high-impact polycarbonate construction that resists breakage and corrosion. The quick fit patented key hole mount allows easy installation, along with the base configuration with it's patented knock out technology allows for a custom fit. Simply snap out the knock-outs to fit your electrical outlet. One Multi-Mac gives you many configurations both vertically and horizontally. Purchased these to replace 20-year-old outdoor outlet covers. The package includes everything you may need, the installation was easy. B.t.w, if you're buying these to replace old covers - make sure to also buy new WR-rated receptacles so you can replace everything at once instead of wasting more time on removing these covers again when you'll be replacing your old receptacles at later time.

All (3) of our outside plate covers broke thru out the years leaving the outlet completely exposed. Bought these as replacements and they really do make the outside of our home look finished. We just installed them so I cannot attest to durability in Northeast winters (they are plastic). I also like that they can be placed vertically or horizontally and there are specified openings for extension cords.

Can be mounted horizontally or vertically, but you have to decide and put the door on the right way yourself. It takes a little force, maybe a rubber mallet. Once you have it installed, it latches and unlatches easily. You can leave something plugged in with the door closed, making a raintight seal. If you want that option, you have to break out a place for one or two cords to go. That is a little difficult and leaves a ragged edge. I used a 1/2 inch round file to smooth the opening so it would not abrade the cord. TayMac makes one with a clear cover, but that one just looks cluttered to me. I can't see any need to see inside.

Perfect to protect a new outlet installed outside the garage. Priced at or lower than my local hardware store & saved me a drive into town. Would order again. Good quality & durability so far. No complaints. Will order again if the need arises.

I was very satisfied with this product - the quality of the material was excellent and it was very easy to install. As stated in the description, it was easy to paint so I could match it to my house color. Shipping was very fast. I will definitely order this product again for other plugs on the outside of my house....
