Some of the bands broke after a few uses. I don't know the expected life of rubber, but some lasted through the second season.

I used these to attach a 1cell AA flashlight, a small flashlight.First day riding down the road on the bike, I heard a snap then my flashlight was bouncing down the road. Put a new one on at home, it snapped after an hour. All 6 straps snapped. These bands are a nice idea, if it worked.
