About this item

  • [High-quality Material]: It is made of ABS, stainless steel, and glass, which is sturdy, durable, and wear-resistant, ensuring a long service life. It is suitable for use in schools, laboratories, businesses, jewellery shops, the pharmaceutical industry, the food industry, factory parts testing, herb testing, and home use.
  • [High Precision]: It has an accuracy of 0.0001g and can weigh up to 0.26lbs of items. The built-in high-precision sensor ensures stable and sensitive transmission, making the values more reliable. The sturdy five-sided glass cover can reduce the effect of wind on measurement results, and the symmetrical diversion notches on the scale can minimize the influence of airflow, improving measurement accuracy.
  • [Multi-functional]: It is convertible between 18 units. You can select the appropriate weighing unit according to your needs. In addition, it has counting, percentage, average, density measurement and tare function to meet your multiple usage needs. The overload protection of the stainless steel scale pan can prevent heavy objects from crushing the scale, making it safer to use.
  • [Large Weighing Pan]: The enlarged weighing pan is 3.54 inches in diameter to hold more items to be weighed, and allows the items to be placed more securely to avoid dropping off. The standard USB interface can connect to a computer, and the RS232 interface can connect to a printer, providing convenience and support for data recording and analysis.
  • [Convenient to Use]: The intuitive panel and clear LCD display screen make it easy for you to operate and read data, and the sturdy handles allow you to easily open the glass cover. Both the side glass and the top glass can be opened for easy storage at all angles. Its smooth and flat surface makes it easy to clean. You can easily remove dust and stains from it with just a damp rag.

I received this product Jan 2023. It worked ok, also the number could be jumping occasionally, but all within acceptable range (a couple of mg). Starting this May, the balance started to work funny. "Tare" button does not work at all, and whenever the side doors are closed, the number jump two digit, sometimes three digits of mg (hundreds of mg). It just cannot be used anymore.I would not buy from the seller again, and I would not recommend you buying it at all. As I said in the headline, it is a waste of money, and time.

I bought this Analytical Balance on eBay (didn’t initially see it on Amazon). I first tried two different 1mg scales. Both had strain gauge type sensors and I found them to be unstable and inconsistent. Almost like the sensor was sticking a bit. Then I found this unit for only a few dollars more which was a 0.1mg scale with a magnetic force restoration sensor. The difference is night and day. This unit is stable, constant, responsive, sensitive and accurate. I say best in every way because this unit has everything I wanted for hundreds of dollars less than it’s rivals. First the looks. It has a stately, industrial look which I much prefer to the multi colors and racing stripes found on some units. Second the display which is LCD with a back light that you can turn on if you want to. In my shop I leave it off and the readability is first class. Third, this unit uses a 3 point leveling system with the 2 adjustable legs on the front. Four legs are difficult to get level and solid and the ones with 1 leg in the front invites disrupting the unit when pressing keys. Fourth, the glass door arrangement is better than some. Very little obstruction and smooth operation. And the fifth difference, one that I probably will not use, this unit has both RS232 and USB outputs for printers or computers. There is one negative however, at least my unit came with instructions in Chinese, not Chenglish but Chinese. Impossible to read. But no problem, I downloaded a copy of the Hanchen Analytical Balance which is identical to this unit. You will need the manual to negotiate the menu functions to do things such as control the backlighting or change the units of measure. Also, after doing extensive testing it became apparent that proper warm us is extremely important for this or any other magnetic force restoration balance for stable operation. I have seen recommended warm up time listed as 15 or 30 minuets but the real answer is more like 8 hours from the time you first plug it in. I have seen some recommendations of 24 hours after plug in or a power outage. But you don’t have to leave the scale turned on, just plugged in. This is stand-by mode, I am still testing but for now I believe 30 minute warm up coming out of stand-by will be adequate. After spending hours researching and comparing various 0.1mg Analytical Balances there is no doubt in my mind that this unit is Best in Every Way.

Impossible to answer your questions. The only instructions were in Mandarin Chinese. Have no clue how to use the darn thing.

no problems with the scale itself. although, it is very sensitive and must be used on a very solid surface. the downfall is that all the manuals and the info label itself are all in Chinese (I'm guessing). it's a little difficult to figure out exactly how it works when the instructions can't be read.

When I have a lucid English manual in hand, I would be better able to do a quality evaluation BTW I worked decades for Western Electric the manufacturing division for AT&T Net Work System as a Quality Auditor. This purchase is the first major letdown in years of buying from Amazon.

This is a good quality scale. Accuracy down to 1mg is fantastic. Accuracy at 0.1mg is +- 0.1mg usually, but can be +- 0.2mg occasionally (likely caused by my environment, because of a mild draft). As with other far more pricey analytical scales, you need to let the scale heat up for 30 minutes before use, and you also need a location free of drafts, vibrations, static electricity, and temperature shifts, to get an accurate reading. This scale is exactly the same as the 0.1mg Hanchen Electronic Analytical Balance BSM 120.4 which sells for more. The built in bubble level is great. It also serves as a storage area for the 100g calibration weight. The front 2 feet allow leveling adjustment. With 3 feet, it's very easy to level. The chamber has sliding glass walls, not plastic. The scale has RS232, but also has USB! That's amazing at this price. No other scale in this price range matches the quality and features of this scale. It's a phenomenal deal.As another reviewer said, the instructions are not in English. However, most functions, like calibration, work exactly as expected, without the need for instructions. The seller should at least give a link to download English instructions though. If you need English instructions, search online to download the instructions for the identical Hanchen Electronic Analytical Balance model BSM-120.4. They also have videos for that one in English. It works exactly the same as this scale. It's just branded differently. It's the same scale. Like the Hanchen, this scale also boots up and shows "120.4 A" as the model.

Set up the scale on a flat surface and adjust the two front leg heights and center the bubble gauge. Allow it to adjust to ambient temps. This thing holds a really good zero and does not float around like other lab scales in this category.
