1) Photos show it comes on a spool. It Doesn't2) I bought this because it was less expensive than the competition. I then compared it to the competition in my shop (Zoro, size 8) and this chain has nowhere near the strength of it's competition. So while this APPEARS to be size 8, it performs like a much lower grade chain like Size 10 or Size 12. So if you need something that looks impressive, but really isn't; go for it. But if you need something that actually performs equivalent to the title, try something more reputable. You will pay more, but you will get what you are expecting.
