love this thing. I did a little estrogen engineering, and fastened a bracket to my portable propane heater. We use this for winter power outages and keeping a room nice and toasty warm. This fan works great, and helps move the heat through the room, making my heater more efficient.

Best I've tried until it wasn't.This was my 4th different fan I bought here on Amazon. The first 3 all claiming the same CFM failed to do anything but create a mild breeze of lukewarm air, so were returned as not performing as advertised. Then this oscillating version came along so I decided to try once more. Not only the 60 degree did an excellent job, but the solid aluminum construction reassured me this might be a quality product, and it certainly was!Alas, after less than an an hour, the oscillation stopped cold! The included thermometer mounted on the hottest part of My Buddy heater never got above 200F, and I was happy to se it perform well even on Buddy's low heat setting. In hopes of a fluke, I am ordering a replacement because this is as good as they get.I will update when the replacement arrives, so wish me luck!

I used this on a buddy heater style propane heater and worked okay for about a total of 5 hours until the switch compartment cover started to melt and the blades started to knock on the frame, bending a blade, leaving it worthless. seems like a great stove fan and I wouldn't recommend it for any open flame heater like the portable propane heaters.

Performs as advertised. Totally quiet, fan starts at a certain level of heat same with oscillation. We bought on sale, definitely a great deal. We are happy and are considering buying another as a gift.

I extensively researched wood stove top fans online, and this is the only fan I could find that rotates left-to-right. The fan turns fast and it really helps circulate warm air from my Mr.Buddy propane heaters.I have noticed that my home now heats up much faster, as the warm air is getting circulated. My home heated up 6-7 degrees F in 1 hour (57 degrees to 64 degrees), when it was 20-30 degree F outside. After about 3 hours of heating, my home was heated to 71 degrees F. This really helps with the efficiency of propane heaters.

I haven’t had a full fire yet but once they are up to temp, they spin and oscillate. Worth the money for sitting in front of the stove and getting some heat. I have mine on an old circulator and they function well

this little fan is worth every penny. distributes warm air flow over a wide area, thanks to its oscillating range. certainly recommend for winter warmth

The two small fans I purchased sit perched on flimsy metal trays with notches that are annoying, do not fit well and launch the fans with their flimsy blades into the air easily when bumped or lifted to change tanks if not removed first. This design costs a small bit more but is must more stable in design and the simple design of the fan base rear that slides under the top of the "cage" combined with a small spring that secures the fan in the front to one of the "cage" cross pieces further down is ingenious and secures the fan well enough that the whole unit can be moved without the fan itself doing the dive onto the floor and the resulting bent blades that result in an unbalanced wobble in use thereafter.Additionally, there is no banging of the fan blades if the fan is rotated and comes to close to the lip of the flimsy aluminum platform. Finally, the larger surface area of this units blades combined with the ability to rotate the blades 60 degrees seems to spread the warm area better and since it can be switched on and off I dont burn my damn fingers when I forget to wear gloves as I did grabbing the wire bail on the top of the flimsy, smaller free standing fans to change then in one direction or the other and inevitably moving them too close to the lip of flimsy aluminum platform where they are halted when they bang into it.IMHO this clearly is a better design. Also, my wife likes watching it rotate back and forth. But then again we are both old and easily amused.HAPPY NEW YEAR!
