Rings are way too tight in the groove but the Piston not machine correctly

I wasn’t sure what kind of quality I would get for the price but, it thought I would try. I purchased a piston and cylinder kit for a Suzuki JR 50. When I went to install the rings on the piston they did not fit. The grooves were too narrow on the piston for the rings fit in piston. Not by barely but, the rings wouldn’t fit in the grooves and all. When I did tell them about the problem they offered me 10% off a new kit when I purchase another one. I declined , gonna be out the money for this, but I didn’t wanna make the same mistake. I offered I would be willing to accept maybe half off and try it again and see if they
