I bought this clock so I can teach my son how to read an analog clock. When I received the box it was damaged, when I opened the box it was cracked in half, the plastic on the front was completely shattered. The concept is a good one, but it’s basically a piece of cardboard with a clock face on it.I never got to use it so I can’t say how well the actual time keeping works.

So ordered in Nov 2015, it is now March 2017. Falls about 3 hrs behind after about 3 days. The drive looks common so I will hit up a hobby store to find a replacement drive. Love the display, was hoping it would at least last till the kiddo was 5.Wrote an e-mail to the company, listed on the back of the clock, hoping to just get a drive replacement guide to buy another drive at a hobby shop. They asked for my order number, and address .... they are mailing me a whole new clock! Outstanding customer service, and the clock was technically out of warranty. Thank you so much for the help! Stuart you are awesome.....

The big numbers make this a great for teaching kids time and numbers. No need to wait till 5 years old, you can just start teaching the kids long hand and hours, plus 1-12 at 3. At 4 you can start teaching quarter and half hours. Converting 1-12 on the clock to minutes could have to wait till 5, but there's no reason why you can't start on the earlier learning first and then ramp up.I really like how the clock mechanism is really quiet. No tick-tick-tick which you get with some kids clocks, so you can put this in the bedroom.

It's an interesting clock, but I was hoping for one the child could actually hold and change the time....this is an actual clock that just needs to hang on the wall. I guess the title is somewhat accurate, but was not what I had in mind.

I was pleasantly surprised when I received this clock. The colours are really fabulous for a child's bedroom/ home school room/ classroom/ playroom. It seems to be made from good quality material and I have no complaints about the shipping time or the sellers.I was even more pleased to discover it "was meant" to actually work. I didn't realise when I ordered it that it was a real clock (smh). I was just sold on the ability to teach my child to read the clock with ease because of the inscriptions on the face of the clock. It took me over a year to remove it from its packaging to use it. I was even further impressed by the clock because it was VERY VERY quiet. You don't hear the constant "tick-tock" which had caused me to dump clocks from my child's room before.I haven't given the clock five stars because no matter how often I change the batteries it does not keep the correct time. It may be a fluke with this particular one as the clock itself really appears to be of good quality. I haven't sought to complain to the seller since it took me so long to start using it but I would probably repurchase it just to have one that actually works.

I remember as a child my own struggle trying to figure out the analog clock. None of the explanations helped much. With this clock I didn't have explain much to my 5 y.o. She reads the clock now. I would suggest that hands would have "hour" and "minute" but we manage to distinguish them without labels. One of the best teaching clocks I found after hours of searching on the Internet.

I ordered this for a friend of mine to help teach her son, who is 7, how to tell the time as the clock in their house made it hard for him to understand. He had been taught how to tell the time in school but was still unable to grasp the whole 'minutes past' and 'minutes to' way of reading a clock.Using the simple instructions provided and some help he was quickly able to read out what time it was. A few days later and he was able to tell the time without any prompting! The instructions that came with the clock were clear and simple making it very easy for parents to help their children. The clock itself is excellent! Bright and colourful and the marking of the number areas means the child is never stuck as to what number 'zones' the hands are pointing to. A simple yet very effective system of telling the time.Takes a single AA battery. The seconds hand doesn't judder every second like the majority of clocks but instead smoothly moves around. Silent too.The clock now hangs in the livingroom of my friend's home and her son has no problems at all knowing what time it is. Not bad at all when you consider she's only had it for FOUR DAYS!I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND this clock if your child has difficulty in understanding how to tell the time.I wish I'd had something like this when I was a child!!!!

My kids immediately loved it. It looks colorful and fun. The numbers are big and clear for kids to read and understand. I also love that there is a glass cover so that the kids can't touch the handles. My previous clock did not have the cover and the kids tried to manipulate the clock, moving the handles forward to speed up their nap, and after a few "manipulations", the clock broke. Hopefully, this one will last a long time.
