I bought this to go along with a pair of Tech-Spec tank grips for my Yamaha FZ6. These grips are very high quality, super grippy, and the adhesive is very strong. No complaints from me.

The pad is very thick and stiff, so probably won't tolerate much bending. I was going to heat it up and pre-bend it to better conform to the tank, but the instructions say to not use heat, probably because it'd cause the adhesive to separate.I ended up not putting it on the bike, though, because the pad is not cut straight with the diamond pattern, so it ends up looking crooked even if the pad is applied straight. This may not bother you, but my OCD was not okay with it.

Wasted a bunch of time and money on a clear protector from another manufacturer. Should have gotten one of these first. One tip... Measure your tank and mark it with a grease pen so you'll be accurate. I used the "calibrated eyeball" approach and while it looks fine, I could have done a better job. I installed mine on a 2014 CB1100, and I had to install it wide side down, the opposite of the picture here. It protects the tank and looks good.

Looks nice. Works well. Very thick material though and because of that, was hard to get the corners down to get it to stick. We’ll see if it holds for the long term.

Nice product. I did have to trim it for my application. A little pricey but certainly better quality than others I have seen.
