A touch of carbon creates a powerful 130 flex that offers the torsional response needed for dropping powdery mountains, hucking off cliffs, and keeping upright in spring's icier conditions. We like this boot's remarkably comfortable fit that balances a precise 99mm last with Tecnica's thermo-moldable C. A. S. technology that can customize the boot's shape to our foot's contours after a quick stop at the local bootfitters.

I dislike replacing nicely broken in ski boots, but after about 20 years, my Salomon boots were starting to fall apart and so it was time to replace them for the 2023-2024 season. After reading a lot of reviews, I decided that this boot was the right one for me and what/how I like to ski. On the first run, it felt like I was on different skis (they weren't) because of the responsiveness of this boot. Still needs some breaking in and will go for a custom fitting but I'm excited to do more skiing with this boot. It's quite warm too, much more than my previous ones. And I do really like the walking mode on this boot. I've seen others complain that the locking mechanism for it is hard to operate and it sort of is with gloves on, but it's well worth it to take them off for a second to have that walking mode. This is a fantastic boot and I hope it lasts as long as my last pair.
