I bought two of these for the back windows in my car. My dogs love being able to smell outside and I love keeping them safe. These are sturdy and easy to use. Highly recommend

I have a 2017 Prius C, and this fit well on the rear passenger window. Two things I would like to recommend for an improvement to this product. 1) I would like to request that this get made with metal. 2) I would like to request a smaller version, especially made for smaller windows. With my car, close to half of the window is open, perhaps a smaller version could be made that will only open up at most 6 inches.

This worked fine to keep our old dog from sticking his head out the window and getting hurt, while still allowing lots of fresh air. It requires a bit of caution installing and maintaining, but no big deal. Just remember to lock the windows while driving so you don't put the windows down and lose them or put the windows up and crush them! A little noisy from the wind, but that is not a problem for us. A good purchase.

If i need to leave the dogs in the car for a few minutes (when it's not too hot out) i use these in the back windows which roll down straight across. They are very sturdy when rolled up into the channel and allow for air flow through the car. For the front windows I use two because of the bend of the window since the gate doesn't flex down to accommodate that windows bend. super sturdy and keeps the car from heating up. I also use a fan that stirs the air. I recommend these for anyone who wants to keep their car cooler. I use a solar powered fan that keeps the air circulating with air from the outside. parked in the shade i use a battery powered fan that helps. when i leave the dogs in the car it is for VERY brief periods and they have a cooling pad and a large bowl of water that has ice in it in case they need a little extra cooling. This window gate is larger than the others i've found, is very sturdy when installed correctly and provides peace of mind when i'm on the road and have to pay for gas or take a potty stop.

When in the car, my dog (a recent rescue) wants to stick his head way out so open windows are a problem. These gates are strong and sturdy enough to prevent him from doing so while still allowing lots of fresh air to flow. They are easy to install and stay put as long as the window is raised to their level.FYI: One end has 3 arms and one has two. If you have curved or angled windows put a gate in, then flip it 'round to see which way you get the best fit. Also, if you have power windows remember to set your lock so your too-smart dog won't roll the window down and knock it out (mine did, luckily in the driveway!)I bought two initially and ordered a second set for friends.

These barriers are excellent. We take our cat with us to a family vacation property that requires ferry travel. Now we can have the windows open a reasonable amount and allow the cat to wander free and relaxed.Fits a 99 Corolla and 08 Civic with no problems. And neither of these vehicles have perfectly square rear windows. The gates have enough play to accommodate, and when in place are very sturdy.Every time we use our Pet Gates people come up and ask us about them. I can't believe that these aren't more common/widely available.

We bought this item to allow a little more air for our dogs on cool but semi-sunny days.Note:These do not work miracles. You cannot expect them to keep your dog cool in the heat. We only use these when it is cool out...otherwise with take our dogs with us, wherever we go, or leave them at home. These hold themselves inside the window and are very sturdy. I wouldn't expect them to hold back a large dog that wanted out. They also wouldn't keep out someone who wanted to break into your car.My window in my car is slightly curved & this handles it just fine. The plastic is fairly rigid, so I wouldn't expect them to work well if your window is curved a lot. That being said, this thing is super sturdy. We have used them without issue many times.

I returned this seems very flimsy. And I still worried that my dogs would be able to break through it.
