I have only given the coil a short test and it seems OK. I will edit this review when I have given it a good test under different field conditions.

purchased the 12dd coil tried it out and it was faulty, the wire connection to the coil was loose therefore always gave false signals, would like to try another one but for some strange reason they don't offer a replacement maybe someone can rectify this option.

isolates targets better than I thought a large coil would. Swinging from different angles helps to isolate good targets from junk.

Recently picked up the 12COILDD for my Teknetics T2. I’ve used my T2 and T2+ for several years and more recently the Minelab Equinox 600. I typically use the 11” stock coil with my T2 but let me say this… I am never going back to the stock coil after hunting with this new 12” coil! The 12” coil is now permanently fixed to my T2!! On my first hunt with the 12COILDD, I found three V nickels and a wheat in just an hour and a half. Two Vs were in a spill along with the wheat. The next day, went out again for about an hour and a half… found another V nickel, an aluminum religious pendant the size of a half dime and my deepest silver dime to date, a 10” 1951 Rosie! Also found a clad dime at 8” and a 7” memorial cent with ease. The religious pendant was 7” which is crazy considering it was the size of a half dime! The 12” coil is lighter, covers more ground than the stock coil and is definitely deeper. The reduced weight of the coil is noticeable and will be an asset when hunting long hours or field hunting. I also felt target separation was excellent …maybe even exceeded the stock coil! Let me tell you, I love the Equinox and I felt I could get some great depth on silver dimes and old wheats with that machine, but this new 12COILDD found a deeper silver dime in my first 3 hours using it than my NOX did in two years! Considering you get great target separation but with extra ground coverage and depth, there is no doubt this coil is going to excel on many hunts! This new coil takes the T2 to the next level IMO! Excited to get back out there and see what else it can do! The extra depth alone is worth the purchase!
