It looks nice. It looks like it has over current protection, so why did the first one die with a bang when it was set to exactly 50 amps within an hour of use? This is a question that I may never know the answer to, but after being told by Amazon that it would take a month to deliver and instead it arrived within a week to our destination that we would not be able to reach within a month, I was just barely able to return the defective unit on the last day allowed for it to be returned. So I have been able to use the new power supply for less than a week now and Amazon is already pestering me to give them a review. I don't dare set it past 40 amps. I actually have a couple of 40 amp resettable breakers that I plan on connecting to the output so that even if our cat bumps the adjustment knob the new one hopefully wont go out with a bang like the last one did. For the price of this thing you may want to consider getting the insurance.

Reasonably well-built, but RF hash levels out of rated spec. (about twice as high) under load. o.k. for my particular lab application.

I had a smaller unit but I ended needed a unit with a higher amperage. Additionally I've been using this unit to power radio equipment where its pretty important to have good clean power. The next thing to do will be to hook it to a distribution block of power poles so that multiple devices at the same voltage can run easily.
