Your cart is empty.The Tekton Straight Pick is made from AISI 8650 steel hardened to 50–54 HRC and bent to shape. The tip of the pick comes to a sharp 30-degree tapered point to keep the strength as close to the tip as possible. Two "wings" on the base of the blade help it resist being twisted or pulled out of the handle. The classic square handle is long and slender with contoured sides for overall versatility and maneuverability. The AISI 8650 steel shaft is made from a strong Ni-Cr-Mo alloy that's hardened to 50–54 HRC. The handle is made from glass-reinforced nylon that's resistant to fuels, oils, and chemicals. Our family of mini pry bar, pick, and hook products is made entirely in Michigan with only USA-sourced materials. Machining, bending, coining, handle molding, and press-fitting the handle and blade take place at our Grand Rapids, Michigan manufacturing facility.

I'm on my fifth set of picks for work. This one seems like it will hold up better and is a nice set instead of the set of 5 I usually buy. Just wish this company would continue to make All their tools in USA.

This tool is just perfect to stretch and connect extension springs. No unexpected flying objects in my shop now! The hook is well made from quality steel, and the bend is thoughtfully designed for exactly what I use if for.

Really nice pick and hook set. Just be aware that this particular listing doesn't come with the case or any organizer. The size is perfect for me; They won't fill your hands, but it's a mini set. The shape of the handle gives you a nice grip, but they can be kind of slick if you've got oil on your hands. They're on the sharper side which made me worry about them bending over or snapping, but the tips have held up really well. One of my hooks did arrive a bit bent, which was a little disappointing, but I bent it back and it's held up since.

When I ordered this pick, it got held up for months. During that time I happened to find a few packs of similiar picks in discount bins here and there for less than half of what this singular pick costs. I guess this one has a black coating on the metal but I dunno if that makes it worth it.

I love these mini picks from Tekton. I bought the 5pc set the first day they released them and have added several over the last couple years. The handles are very well finished and sized large enough so that you can get a decent grip compared to typical mini picks, but they will not fill a hand (I wouldn't mind if they had the same shape but shortened the length by an inch). They're glass-filled nylon just like their 6-in-1 drivers - high quality (and they will drill/sand/glue just great if you want to modify them). The steel is great quality, too - doesn't deform like cheese and none of mine have broken yet. I'd put these up there with Ullman (old Ullman). I like this compound loop for o-rings - dulled the tip just a small amount but not "blunt" like their second line of these tools.

What do I say? It's a pick. But the tip is very sharp and strong, and that's different from other picks.
