For more than a month I have put up with my phone which had static whenever talking to anyone on it. Since I am probably one of the very few people in the world who refuses to get an expensive portable cell phone that I do not actually need and my old land phone is usually just fine; I decided to purchase a new replacement phone cord in hopes that would solve the static problem.
