This is really poorly designed and took me way too long to put together. The thumb screws have the standard lever thing to help you turn them, however, the design of this doesn't allow you to actually turn the screw with them, so I needed to grab a pair of pliers and pry off the lever on the screws to get them to turn properly so I could tighten down the iPad holder and the phone holder on the back. Really terrible engineering. Also, to make any adjustments to the height of the phone holder to get it to line up properly with the hole, you literally need to take the whole thing apart because again, the location of the adjustment screw is in an awful location. Once you have it set up it works just fine but this really needs to go back to product design, it shouldn't take ten minutes to set up this tiny thing. If it wasn't for that, this would be a solid 4 stars, probably 5 but needs some more use out of it.One Month Update: This thing is awful. I wish I had returned it at the very start. There's something up with the glass where the text is reflecting on my footage. I've used other teleprompters in the past and never had this issue. I've tried reducing the brightness but then at a distance, you can barely read the words on the glass. Ugh. Caveat emptor.

I like the ease of use. Although, be warned you will need your own tripod/stand to use this product.

The teleprompter device is quite nice. It assembled fast and is ready to use in minutes. I had no issues using this with my GH5 and a mediocre quality tripod. If your tablet is kind of heavy, it will droop a little bit, but nothing you can’t fix with the tripod angle. The size is perfectly fine for a YouTube home studio setup. I sat about 6 feet away and could read it just fine. One thing to keep in mind…It screws directly on to the lens so if you normally use a lens filter, you won’t be able to do so. It also comes with several rings so you can use it with a variety of lens sizes. You will need to have a phone or tablet running a teleprompter software for this to work. GVM has a free software but it’s incredibly buggy and in desperate need of some quality of life updates. Any teleprompter app should work with the device but not the remote. The remote will only work with the GVM app in my experience. I find the buttons to be incredibly loud (loud enough to be heard through the microphone) and it’s missing the basic “forward/backward” function. You can stop, start and slow. That’s it. So you have to spend a great deal of time getting the text size and speed just right. Otherwise you have to get up anytime you make a mistake or fall behind and manually scroll the script from the tablet. Pretty inconvenient when you’re trying to film.I had to turn the screen brightness on my tablet down quite a bit so you couldn’t see the reflection of the text in the recorded video.Overall I’m still pretty happy with this purchase. I’d plan to spend a few hours getting everything set up and tested. Hopefully GVM will make some much needed updates to the app but the device itself is exactly what I needed.

Very Difficult to connect with Blue Tooth and the Remote broke after the first time it was used. Customer support is very poor. For these reasons I wouldn't purchase this product again.
