I specifically ordered a blue one (there's like 2 blue things, the rest is black and standard) and I got red instead. Amazon is now out of stock so I'm stuck. Not a huge deal, just annoying.Also very plastic feeling, I doubt it'll hold up well. However, I don't often use a crop I just have 1 horse who has taken into backing up as her way of fighting me. The crop is just so if she tries that on a trail I can correct quickly. I've never used a crop for my previous 4 horses, so I don't think this one will see much activity.

This thing is genius- especially for those of us who take the train out to the barn and are sick of catcalls! Folds down to a bit over a foot to tuck into a backpack, and can go from a 29" schooling whip to a 18" jumping bat. I'd pay twice as much for one that was a bit less plastic-y, but I'm just so happy this exists I can't complain.

My wife loves these telescopic crops, so handy for her horse riding classes, folds down and into her riding hat when finished lesson.This is her second one.
