It works if you have a lot of space in the tub; otherwise, you're better off with a vertical float switch.

Bought it as a spare for backup . I tested it and it worked fine so it will go away in my inventory of spare parts for my water system

the plug is like 1-1/2 deep , had to get a deeper cover.

I think they recommend at least 24 volts DC but I haven't seen an issue with 1/2 that.

I use this fill switch to control a 120V relay to an irrigation pump that fills my koi pond. The large ball inside makes the activation positive without off/on shuttering. I wish the device was smaller so I could control the level with more precision. The minimum water level change is 6" from full to refill.

Have had the product installed for over a month now and does what it’s supposed to do. I cut the plug off and hard wired it into my application. I use it in the “pump up” configuration to fill a atmospheric tank from my nano Filtration system on my house. I even ordered a spare just incase; Amazon shipped fast but not as fast as having a spare on the shelf!

Great switch. Works as described. It was purchased to turn off a water tank once it was filled.

Works great! Opposite most float valve it turns on when down. Seems sturdy time will tell.

I first bought a float switch for my (garden storage) water tank at a hardware outlet store. They assured me it would turn on when lowered and activate my pump until the water level rose to the desired height. But when I got it home I discovered it was instead intended for a sump pump (turning off when lowered). I returned that item and found the TEMCo float switch on Amazon. The description of this item, still left some doubt, but it works fine, just as I had hoped. I recommend it for other buyers. [The Amazon description should be rewritten to clarify which model number works for reservoirs, and which model works for sumps; making two separate items.]
