I keep this next to 4K TV in my den in case someone (especially me!) wants to "project" from a laptop (e.g. from MacBook or ChromeBook).

I got an iPad for Christmas and, while the screen is fine for me for goofing off with, I need a larger screen for work stuff. And it's half for work, so I grabbed this on the advice of my husband. This makes it easy to connect my iPad to a small tv that I have in my office. The responsiveness is great and everything looks clear.For work and play, this has worked well for me. It feels like great quality, and it has worked consistently for me throughout the last couple of weeks. Definitely a game changer as far as making my iPad a lot more functional for my work needs.

I really like this compact HDMI converter. I have other USB C hubs that have additional ports, but they are all bigger than this small cord that works well with my macbook air. If you need a simple converter to hook to an HDMI cord this is a good simple solution.

I got this so I could hook it up to my digital projector.I do a lot of presentations and use a digital projector with my laptop. And that works well for 90% of my presentations. However, if I want to demonstrate something from from an app, I usually have to take pictures of the app and put them on my laptop.Now, I can hook my phone directly up to my projector and display it on the screen.In the third picture above, you can see where I hooked it up to my projector and displayed it on a bedroom wall. (Probably not the best way to show how it works.) I wanted to show a picture of an app, but I couldn't project an app and open my camera at the same time. So the picture is a picture of a picture... you get the idea.This adapter seems to be well made, with heavy duty cable and sturdy connectors.The adapter arrived quickly and is highly recommended!

I was traveling and quickly grabbed what I thought was a USB-C to HDMI adapter that would work with the Nintendo Switch (based on the picture in the product description). I feel this picture is very misleading as it clearly shows a picture of a Nintendo Switch, but the text says "Steam Deck". This cable does NOT work with the Nintendo Switch! The Switch requires a USB-C charging port ALONG with the HDMI output. I took off two stars for this misleading advertisement.As a USB-C to HDMI adapter for an Android phone, this cable works great. I tested the audio and video and both passed through the adapter correctly. This is why it was able to get 3 stars.

I have an HP Elitebook laptop, and I was already using the HDMI port for a second monitor. I wanted to be able to extend to a 3rd monitor, and this adapter was exactly what I needed.Before purchasing, I made sure my laptop USB-C ports had the lightning bolt icon indicating it was Thunderbolt capable, and that I had an HDMI cable (not included) available to complete the connection.I'll start with this: I plugged it in, and it started working. No drivers to install, and only a minimum amount of Windows fiddling to get things the way I wanted.I have a Dell 27" monitor that I'm using for this, if it matters. Windows reports it running 1920 x 1080, 144 Hz.I'm using this for "business" rather than gaming. I may not be taxing the limits of what this thing can do, but so far it seems great for what I need.I like that the cable is braided, and seems to be well made. It doesn't need to be flexible, being relatively short, but this could be helpful for folks who don't have as much space around their laptop.When I checked this morning, it was listed for $12.99 minus a 20% coupon, which makes it a good value. Time will tell how long it will last, but I'd be willing to buy another one in a year if this one happens to fail. It doesn't seem to be getting hot, so it'll probably last a while.
